Not a phone call, this is the number the scammers are leaving behind.  People are reporting getting cards in the mail telling them to call this number with a reference number to claim $100,000 in gas rebates at Esso, Shell, Petro-Canada and more.

This is a scam,  Information is power.

Started saying I'd won a hundred dollars in gas and 2 free round-trip airline tickets to anywhere in the world, Then mentioned great deal on getting 5 magazine subscriptions, but only paying for one. That one subscription was the same price no matter which magazine it was for. Then told me it was about $11/month. At that point I'd pretty much tuned out and despite mounting pressure, got off the line having learned everything was a no-go if the magazine subscription was not purchased!

I received such a card and called the number. I realized is a scam when they start asking me details about my adress, e-mail and eventually credit card info. At that point I just turned the phone off. Is definitely a scam. Avoid and spare your time!

Received a card in the mail saying I won $100.00 in gas rebates.  I phoned the number and they said I also won two arline tickets and could get 5 magazines for only $2.20 a month.  Then they wanted my credit card number to confirm I was a credit card holder.  I told the guy he should find a better job and quit scamming people and hung up.

I received this card in the mail today.  Thanks for the posts!  I will not be calling the number, but I WILL be reporting them!  This is mail fraud.

Just read a post on this telephone number - I called but was put on hold as I believe I called outside their time of business.  Why can't telephone companies automatically block numbers the same way we can block emails?  Should be a simple thing - with all the technology now, telephone companies need to buck up and start working for the public!

Received a card in the mail with the following info on it. It came by Canada Post #8194385 on stamp. Nothing else on it except my name and address.

March 2015- got the same card with claim number . Caller offered for 4 magazines for 60 months at 2.69 per week, 2 airline tickets north Ameria, Carabeans, Europe and $100. rebate gas that I need to mail in to get my rebate???? And he , Peter Phillips, needed my credit card info to proceed to emailing what I had won. apparently I had answered a consumer survey..which I did in the last year.
I guess we will never know-sounded too much like a scam. no further info provided of course.
