Yellow card in the mail saying I have UNCLAIMED Reward!
$100 in gas rebates. call and give claim #
Did a little looking online and it sounds like a scam. Everyone suggests tearing up the yellow card.

I received the same yellow card, too.

I also received the same yellow card and called the number, they wouldn't tell me anything about their company unless I confirmed the mailing address (just said they were with consumer reports) ...I didn't confirm my mailing address and the man on the phone suggested that I call back later when I was ready to confirm.

S/he would going to kiss a big and fast truck as sent the yellow cards.

Hi, I to received one of these yellow cards.  The way I see it, they have our mailing address what else do they need to mail it to us.  I won a prize with the Cancer Society, I had bought one of their raffle tickets.  I had no clue I had won one of their prizes until it arrived in the mail.  A gift card for gas fits easily in an envelope.  I believe this is a scam - I wouldn't even waste my time calling them.  Into the shredder it goes.  I am so glad we have a website where we can post things like this.  Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who believe in this and will call them.

Why does Canada Post give them a discount on Postage Paid - Addressed - Admail?  It seems to me they could check this out?

Well here it is more than a year later and this scam is still happening. I recently received the yellow card. I was thinking of calling the number but thought I would go online to see if anyone else had received the card in the mail. Glad I did check it out. The card went in the recycling bin. What a waste of paper!

I received a yellow card in the mail today. Called the 844 number, but first did a *67 so my number would not appear. They asked for the claim #, which I gave to them..figured what the hell.. the first person would not answer any questions so was sent to a second person and she only indicated I had entered an online survey...which is BS. She then said I was also eligible for an additional 200 dollars in discounts since I was a Visa, Master Card, American Express or Discover card holder. Gee what are the odds that I might have one of those cards :)  And that she could process the additional discounts  for a fee of 3.00 to any one of the credit cards. Once I indicated I would never give out the credit card information to an unknown or even known company, I was then told I was no longer even eligible for the original gas rebates from Esso, Shell or Petro Canada. She did hang up on me....
