I've received 3 phone calls (2 are voice mails from an 844 #, and one that I answered from a local # from a guy named a John Adam claiming to be with RCS Capital. He claims to be representing a bank that I had YEARS ago that I supposedly owe money to. He says that they are looking to take steps to have my current bank account closed and to prevent me from having opening any others. Is this even possible? When I asked him (during the call I answered) why this is the first time in the 5+year since I used said bank that I am hearing about this supposed debt he said he doesn't know. He claims to have sent me information via postal mail and e-mail but I have not received anything. The last call/voicemail was today saying I had until 5pm to respond to him because the "company he works for" wants his recommendation for steps moving forward.

Same guy, John Adam, called to inform me that I was "scheduled to appear" on Wednesday...today is Monday. Where am I supposed to appear and for what reason? He could not provide me with any other information except to say that I should contact the RCS Partners and that they could tell me more. Can't see myself answering any questions to someone who can't divulge the reason for his call or say when and where to appear and why. Really?
