Got a text from this number on my cell phone thanking my husband for purchasing Verizon Home Device Protect. Gave a suspicious looking link to click on to set up the "plan".

Received a text from 844-755-0444 thanking me for purchasing Verizon Home Device Protect.
Didn't do any such thing.

Received a text message thanking me for purchasing Verizon Home Device Protect. I didn't buy anything.

Received a text thanking me for purchasing Verizon at home network...nope I did not spammer

got a text thanking me for ordering Asurion Home plus, and a link. I replied STOP and it blocked them

Got a text thanking us for purchasing Verizon home service. Didn’t buy anything. Scam I’m sure.

Received a text that said “ AT&T FREE MSG: Hi LYNN, Thanks for purchasing AT&T HomeTech Protection for $25/mo. Your benefits are waiting for you here https://asurion.plus/…..”

Received a text message saying that I have been charged $25.00 for Home Device Protect.

got a text same as above.Can anyone verify this number?

Verify that it is a scam?  Looks like that has already been accomplished.

Unwanted Text Messages

Forward unwanted text messages to 7726 so that carriers will block them. Some carriers do not accept that code and if that is the case then contact your carrier about how to block unwanted text messages, however 7726 is accepted in the US, Canada, and Great Britain. Also, never, ever click on a link in a text message as it will probably install something nasty to your phone that you really will not want to deal with and never, ever respond to one because lets them know that they have a good number with someone on the other end.  It will result in more calls and texts.

Got this text and thought it was real, since I did sign up with them. I did click on it, what did it do to my phone and how do I get rid of it. I have an Apple SE. This is crazy is asurion aware of this scam? I need help now

I did not order the protection nor did I contact them about it, probably a scam as seen that others have gotten the same but for different carriers and different products. Be aware and check your bills and credit card statements.
