- Sbguy1215| 7 repliesIt's for LoanMe. It's barely a couple hours into he first of the month and they have called me 4 times to get my payment! I'm at work from 8am to 5pm and I can't answer the calls until I take a break. WTF!?!?
- the real replies to Sbguy1215| 5 repliesYou are not obligated to pay them back. They are a rip off payday loan company.
- Private| 2 repliesI'm filing them under bankruptcy.
- Caller: LoanMe

- Jenn replies to PrivateSo are WE!! The interest rate alone is gonna kill me.
- Lori replies to the real| 3 repliesThey told me they could garnish my wages. Is this true
- Gunnar replies to LoriGarnishment is ordered by the court AFTER a judgement is awarded. No Summons, no court hearing = no garnishment. Debt collectors can NOT simply have your wages garnished. Only the government is able to pull that off & that's only done in cases involving taxes, child support & prior judgements.
Be Safe. Be Aware.
Gunnar - AnonymAll that is very interesting, considering I have never, ever had any dealings at any time, for any reason, with any "payday loan" company of any description. Ever. Period. I have never borrowed cash outside of a mortgage refinance transaction.
So, they must have a wrong number, or their number is not connected with that company any longer, and is now being used as a spoofed number. Or, somebody else is using my number as a contact number on THEIR payday loan contract. But, they will never get any response from me, no matter how many times they call, because I never answer calls from numbers which I don't recognize!
What puzzles me though is the answer posted above by "the real" which says that you're "not obligated to pay them back" simply because they are a rip-off payday loan company. So, this means you can "borrow" money from them, but never be obligated legally to return it? Is this legal?- Caller: Unknown, but seems to match "LoanToMe" as described above

- Tammy| 1 replyThey've called me twice in the last 4 weeks. There leaving messages on my cell phone looking for my ex-husband. I've been divorced for 10 years. I'm tired of getting calls for him. They've called my mom and sisters phones and left messages also.

- Anonym replies to TammyConsult an attorney. If you can't afford to at least talk to one, then go to Legal Aid and get advice on how to send the snakes back under the slimy rocks from which they crawled to begin with. You have no obligation for any debts incurred by an ex-spouse of more than 10 years, and neither does anyone else who didn't sign the papers with which he got his loan. Don't answer any more calls, don't take any messages. But KEEP any and all messages they leave on voicemail for evidence to use against them for violating Credit Collection Laws. Tell your family the same, and start getting legal advice immediately.
- Anonym replies to Sbguy1215It's for LoanMe??? Really??? I barely get out of my house once every couple of months for doctor's appointments or a haircut, much less even think about doing any business with some slimy payday loan company!! I don't even HAVE a payday since I'm disabled! I'll never need money that bad, because I've got two grown children who are better off than I am, and will never see their mother deprived of a thing. As far as I know, disability benefits can't be used as the basis for that kind of a loan anyway. And I know my husband isn't doing any kind of business like that either. We've both been as leery of those slimeballs since they first set up shop. And since they've lost all the business they used to get out of desperate lower grade enlisted military personnel since the government has declared them officially off limits, one to the other, they must be feeling the hurt. HA! That's all I've got to say about that. They can keep on wasting their time calling me, because they'll never get any answer here! And in the time I've written this, I've gotten two more phone calls!
- Anonym replies to the realIf you signed their paperwork, and took out a loan with them, aren't you still required to pay them back though? Seems like once they have your name on the dotted line, they pretty much own you. Which is why NOBODY should ever do business with them or anyone like them.

- JamesDidn't answer and they left a voicemail saying "this is Tanya from Loan Me. I'm calling about a time sensitive matter, please return my call"... blah blah blah. I have never had a loan from Loan Me, I didn't even know they existed until this phone call. None of my accounts are past due so I have no idea why they called me. I will not be calling them back.

- Katherine Klusky replies to PrivateI did that. They still call.
- JoanieMan called and said a name of a company. so fast I couldn't understand it..then said, "..I needed to call them back immediately...They had important information I need to address!" I could hear several other people talking on phones in the background so I knew it was a scam.

- Jemma replies to Lori| 1 replyDid they ever serve to garnish?
- MikeHuntleton replies to JemmaNo. Why would they need to serve a Garnishment if you were already in Court and it was awarded to the Plaintiff who sued you?
