Check felony about a loan taken out in 2010

Claiming they are going to serve me a courtdate for an old unpaid payday loan.  He said his name was jim nelson from emg and associates.

called my job about an old payday loan in 2011.  threatening to serve me papers and demanding my bank information. I told him to send me an email  with his name and company and I would let a lawyer look at it. he decline. just kept demanding I give him my credit card number and saying a check was not to be used, I still refused and he said it needed to be taken care of right now. when he realize I caught on to the red flags and realize he was not going to get any banking information. he threaten serving me at my job.  I say okay I will be waiting he finally hung up..."talking  about a scam"   uuuuggggghhhh!!!!!!

Tell them not to call you at work -- it's illegal once you've told them not to. (Not that they care...)

Called and asked me about my ex husband. Said his name was Michael Miller and he was a processer in county and was serving me papers because I was named as a reference on my ex husbands pay day loan in 2013 with EMG. Sounded very convincing with docket number etc. Said I would be implemented in my exes fraud case. My ex husband called him back and they were demanding bank account numbers. My ex isnt well and he gave them his account number and set up a payment plan because back in 2013 he thought maybe he had taken a loan, but thought he had paid it. Again that is when my ex was hospitalized and confused in ICU. When I found out my ex gave this Michael Miller his bank Info I told him to get to his bank right away and cancel that account. Sure enough that same day he had unauthorized charges in his account totalling approximately $104 from Boost mobile and Sprint, which he doesnt even use. He had to change his account number and fortunately the bank covered his loss..THEY ARE A SCAM!!!

These people keep calling relatives of mine for a internet payday loan that I don't owe! They have even called distant relatives. What are wrong with these people? First of all why are you trying to collect on something someone doesn't owe or even know about?! These people are ridiculous!

Called to tell me that a family was needed to be served with paperwork for court. I stated number was not right and they said they go it off the attorney paperwork. This guy said his name was Mike from Location Services.  Told him not to call anymore phone was not theirs. then he called and left a message.

Eric Rivers claimed he has papers to serve me, been changing his name and serving me for the past 2 years! Total BS!!

I just received a call from Eric Rivers as well! Telling me that EMG is the filing party and that he needs to talk to me to serve paperwork to job!

I received a call from a restricted number saying her name is Allison and she is a process server for LA County.  She will be at my place of business or home unless she get a call from EMG stating I have resolved the matter.  If she doesn't, then I will be served.  Even called a family member asking for me.  I have been researching this and there is no collection agency with this name or the phone number of 877-8883418 other than the crap I received today.  How do we stop these crooks??

I doubt you can stop the calls, short of having a phone that can block calls.  Give you state attorney general's office a call about these calls.

Calls from a private number telling me to call emg associates OR if I dont she will serve papers at work at home they are using a new number 800-436-3260 which comes up as weave hair studio, but when you call it it is EMG ASSOCIATES

They called me the this number today. 844-224-8324sayibg they'll serve me papers tomorrow at my address. Between 3-5 central time. What a scam.

I too received these calls.  I bought a phone call blocker from Amazon.  Now the calls have stopped..  Worth every penny to stop these creeps!

I have been getting calls to my home for almost 4 years now.  It is not my bill.  I just purchased a cprv202 call blocker.  The next time I was called, this company was blocked from my phone.  What a joy to have them blocked.  Best investment I ever made.

Got a call today from a Kelly Bradford from EMG (8442020325) stating that they are going to garnish my wages for an unpaid payday loan.. is this a scam??

To block calls, open the Phone app, select Call History, tap the number, then select Block Contact or Block Caller.
