Multiple calls in a day, does not leave a message. Comes up as suspected spam

Multiple calls in one day and won't leave a voicemail. My caller I.D shows it to be spam. I have my number listed on the Do Not Call register so why do I still get spam?

The registry is not for "spam calls".  What it is for was very succinctly explained to you when you signed up.  If you failed to read what it does that is on you.  Frankly I don't know why the FCC/FTC spent the time writing out a complete explanation since no one seems to have ever bothered to read it.

Who calls you everyday even on Sunday?  Did it ever occur to you to answer the phone to get useful and helpful information about the caller and what they want so that you can effectively deal with it?

It's Fingerhut. And OP (and others), you did the smart thing by trying to figure out who was calling first before answering, and potentially setting yourself up to reopen an old outdated debt from an unfamiliar number (and likely re-igniting more calls). Fingerhut is also huge for scams, so the debt might not even really be yours. If they are calling, bothering, and pestering you at an uncomfortable (and unjustifiable) rate (like that company often does to people who even owe as much as a ~$8.00 payment for the month), you must request for them to stop calling you. You can even request to receive correspondence about the issue through email alone. This way, you can tackle the issue, while keeping the phone calls at bay. I understand very well that $8.00 is not a large payment, and you're likely facing much larger issues in life if you can't successfully make that, however, hard times fall onto humans. But if you created the situation, hopefully you have learned to hold yourself accountable, and fix it.

Called me at 6:29am. As well as, several other times. No voicemail. I don't answer numbers I don't know.
