- ACalled me, but no one really answered so I hung up and called back. A man answered and said where I had called, but I didn't catch it. So I said I had received a call and so was calling back. He asked for my first and last name to pull up my account. I asked him to clarify what company this was and he said, "ma'am this is not a company please don't call us again" and hung up on me! Ha-ha so it's for sure a scam!
- Caller: Not sure
- ENVery aggressive message threatening legal action if you don't return the call

- CGThey said it was revenue canada and i was being investigated for tax fraud! I said i have never heard of revenue canada using a 1-844 phone number and that i didnt appreciate being threatened, that i was going to call our local revenue canada to confirm. He said that this needed to be rectified immediately or i would need to get an attorney! In ontario, we dont use the word "attorney" He hung up on me ! A very thick foreign accent too. DONT send money, it is a SCAM!!!!

- T| 1 replyA scam call claiming to be Canada Revenue Agency and threatening legal action if you don't return the call. Don't fall for this.
- Susan replies to TMe too! I was aware of this scam before they called so I had such a fun time playing along with them. I even offered to give him my visa #'s and asked how much in itunes gift cards they need to stop the police from coming to arrest me. bahahaha How do I sign up for this loser job?
- ConnieThe call I answered was a recording apparently from the CRA Restitution Office in Ottawa that stated I had to call back immediately. When I called back (silly me) they said I was the primary suspect in tax fraud for the taxation years 2009 - 2014. They read me an affidavit and told me they could help me avoid the issuance of a warrant for my arrest by staying on the line while I drive to the nearest grocery store to purchase iTunes gift cards and then meet with a CRA agent within 5 - 10 miles. Seriously?? Be on guard folks..:)
- Caller: CRA

- VirginiaI guy claiming to be from Canada Revenue left me a difficult to understand message that sounded aggressive. His accent sounded light Russian. I know because I have a Russian friend with similar accent. He threatened legal action if I didn't return his call. So obvious a scam.

- DerpGot a garbled threatening voice-mail at 8am today like everyone else. Called them back just now and some guy with an Indian accent answered claiming to be a police officer and asked for my full name. I said they should have my name on file since they were the one who phoned me first. They immediately hung up.
What a bunch of scammers. - Robertyes just got a threatening message left about a tax debt to the CRA and the need for immediate action or else legal action/police. . This is a scam don't fall for it.

- Caller: Misrepresented Canada Revenue Agency
- Howard| 1 replyReceived voicemail message today from someone identifying themselves representing Canada Revenue Agency anit-fraud department. Said it was extremely time sensitive and to call back immediately at 1-844-804-2259 or I would face the consequences. Heavily accented voice, difficult to understand, thought he said it was "from the office of Brett Liner at CRA". But not sure. Definitely a scam. Thought it would be fun to call back to play with them a little but didn't want to waste my time.
- Caller: CRA
- Call type: Debt collector
- Lisle replies to ZHad a call today and called back.no one answer.left a message saying if don't back with them be ready with my attorney.
- Laurie replies to HowardLike Howard, I also received a call from what sounded like Brett Liner. First, it didn't look like a CRA number. Secondly, it appeared to sound like he was making a triple threat. Thirdly, at the end of the message a woman's seductive-sounding voice said, 'Bye!" Fourthly, no one answered when I returned the call. Finally, there was no option for me to leave a message--the number I dialed just kept ringing. What a scam and what scammers!
