- FrankJunk debt buyers trying to collect on out of SOL debt.
- Irritated| 1 replyReceived a call saying they were a lawyer and needed to confirm my information. They wanted to deliver court documents to me about the case against me. I laughed at the guy and told him to deliver them then I'd confirm my info. Documents never showed!
- Caller: McCall and Edwards
- Call type: Debt collector
- Los replies to IrritatedThis just happened to me. Got a call from no ID and some tired sounding girl told me to call 8448043952 Them asked if I would be home on a certain day to receive docs. Ask her where she is calling from she wouldn't answer. Told me some wack company name and so I told her to start over with her pitch. As she talks I'm looking up this company name. Nothing.. So I ask her her title.. She made some dumb title up. Then I asked her who our Vice President was. She had no idea. They don't work for government if they don't our Vice Preaidents name.
- Kalish| 1 replyTold me that he is from the county trying to serve papers at my home or job on monday to go to court. If don't sign I will not know my court date and court will go without me
- Caller: No company say said bryan from the county
- Tygerkat replies to KalishNO process server is going to call you in advance; you could hide if you knew they were coming. And you can't buy your way out of a summons, either, which is what they will claim if you speak to them. My advice is to block the number or at the very least, ignore them when they call.
- sunshinestateI got a call yesterday late afternoon from a young female stating that she was a legal carrier for the Pinellas County and asked me if I was going to be home on Wednesday to have a package delivered. I asked her the name of the company the package was coming from and she said The Cleaners and she provided me a phone number of 844-804-3952 and gave me a file number to provide to learn what the delivery package was about.
From the information she provided, instantly I new this was a debt collector trying to use one of their false approach in getting to me. It did not work. These people are simply idots trying to waste people's time.
If the Pinellas County has anything to deliver to you that is of an urgent matter, they will overnight a package to you by a professional legitimate delivery service that does not require your signature as the delivery company would have track of their delivery made to you.
If any court needed to delivery urgent documents to you, they would be following the same process.
DO NOT fall or any of this type of garbage calls. These are callers that simply have nothing better to do. - SynthnutHaha got the tired female courier call today saying I'm going to be served papers Friday and they needed to know when I'd be home. Then called this number and the guy was telling me they're taking me to court but I could stop it all right now if I make monthly payments. Yea right. I don't have debt in collections
- JackI received the same stupid call. She left a voice mail with the same ol song and dance about bringing papers to my home, she didn't say the address, on Tuesday and if I wasn't there she would go to my place of employment and a supervisor would have to sign with me or I could miss a set court date. Gee, I've been retired for almost 5 years so, lot's of luck, with any supervisor. I'd love to see her show up at my door. I have three Great Danes who total 450 pounds and a 50 pound Pitt Bull who would just LOVE to say "Hi" to her. POUND SAND SCAMMER!!!!!!
- Caller: Some idiot scammer.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Irritated citizenI received a call saying that legal documents were being delivered to my house on Wednesday and that I would need to sign them. The lady was very nice, but was very persistent about knowing if I would be home from 3-5 on Wednesday. The caller id said unknown, but she gave me this number to call back to reschedule. I told her I would not be home, so she said they would "work with me." This is rediculous. She couldn't tell me what it was regarding. Pretty sure it is a scam. Thanks for wasting my time!! Jerk!!

- BigA replies to PMBHe would be their ideal victim. That debt is probably past the statute of limitations, assuming it is even a real debt.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation letter (think of it as the best $6.47 you ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/
http://www.consumeradvocates.org/find-an-atto ... tates_value=All
Also make a report on their criminal activities here as well as the two links I have provided previously. The NY State AG will be very interested that they are in business and not registered as required by law.

“SOS...time after time. Mellisa Holmes says she's a courtier with my county and coming to my house or place of employment on Friday 9/23 and if I'm not available court actions will continue without me. Bring it on Melissa! I'll be waiting with my attorney. This is totally ridiculous that these people are not prohibited by law from calling us! #FEDUP!”

- tSame story. Rebecca Evans from courier service said she would come to my house and employer. She said to give plantiff a call at this number to stop process. Gave "docket" number.
- LyndaReceived call from 844-804-3952 a Melissa Holmes, leaving the same message as others above stated, bringing papers to my house, must be there our will go to court & proceed without me. I called back, spoke to a Alex Wolfe, he giving me info about some 20 some year debt, the last of my social & my address. Said he would email me proof of debt. I looked this 844 number up & found all these complaints. I called back & asked how he got my info, he asked me if I got the email & I said no, that he needed to mail anything to me & he said the email was all that was needed. I hung up, checked my email & saw one, but didn't open it, for fear of a virus. He gave me this # to reach him...716-514-4841, so I texted him telling him, I needed an address to mail him something. If he replies, will send the letter as shown in this site.
