Called threating with court.  Said we had a court date the afternoon of the call.  we had never been served any paperwork and when I informed them that without having been served and the proof given to the court that there would be no date because we had not been put on a docket, the guy on the other end told me to shut my "f**king mouth and then called me a [***] as well as a few other things.

Guy told me that i owe 1000 dollars from a pay day loan compay and that if i did not pay that i would go to jail i was not as smart as half the reports i read about this so after i steled this i ask for a letter settled in full letter once I receive the letter i Google the address the address is for an empty UPS center the company's not even located at the address that was all they're settled in full letter they stole $500 from me located

Received a call from a number that once searched was from the local police dept. Listening to the voice mail revealed that it was an investigator who received documentation of check fraud and that I would have to show up at court that day. He provided a 800 number to call to try and settle the debt before he had to put this on the docket. Calling the 800 number was informed it was an old payday loan. Long story short calling the police station revealed that they had no knowledge of this and no investigator by the name provided exists. This is a debt collector spoofing local numbers to scare you into making a quick out of court settle instead of facing huge fees later.

I should have known! I'm usually smarter than this! They originally called me from a local phone number and left me a threatening message that I was going to have to call them back within 24 hours regarding charges brought against me for check fraud. BUT they wanted me to call them back at 1-844-804-6079. I looked up the local number and it belonged to the Williamson County Court house. So, I called the local number instead of the 844 number. It was a fax machine. So, like an idiot I called the 844 number and believed I was talking to someone at the court house. They informed me that I had fraudulently wrote a check to a payday lender in 2011. They conned me out of $1,670. I am still working with my bank to fix this. Don't fall for this!

Got a threatening call from Investigator Miller saying if I didn't call them back within 24 hours (844)804-6081 and make a payment of over $1,000 that I was going to go to court for check fraud and for bank fraud from some payday loan back in 2009. I called the local police department and they didn't have anything about it they told me it was a prank so then I called my attorney.  So for you folks that may have gotten the payday loan and never paid it they cannot get you for check fraud even if you wrote them a check because they give you that loan knowing you do not have the money in the bank at that time to pay.  They're just trying to scare you to settle a debt.  They aren't real investigators, they aren't police officers and they can not charge you with check fraud even if you did get a payday loan. First the guy told me he was out of Texas, then when he sent me this supposed proof, it was a letter that his company C.A.S. had typed up with an address of a UPS company.   He couldn't give me a date of when "the crime took place" so I did as my attorney said called the guy back told him if he had any questions to call my attorney and I also told him if he kept bothering me I would contact the Attorney General's office.  What these people are they're called debt buyers and they buy people's debts for pennies on the dollar in hopes to collect thousands, sometimes they do but not this girl I told him they were full of s*** and quit calling me.
