Guy calls with very thick Indian accent and says he is from Microsoft windows tech support and is courtesy calling me about errors in my computer. Its obviously a phishing scheme so i want to mess with him. Lol.. i say whats your name and he says.. my name is "mike". I say what company are you with mike. He says he is calling from Microsoft Windows tech support. . So i ask what number i can call him back at and he says.. i can call you back later what time should I call?  I said well im not at home and not sure how long it will take me.. what is your number?  He says.. (pause) uh.. you can call the number showing on your cell phone.  But it will probably be busy.. so i will call you later.  How did he know it was my cell phone?  Lol.. i said Well Mike.. i have several computers which one do i need to check?  He says.. it's your personal computer sir.. I said i have more than one personal computer mike.  He says well we can verify which computer when you can be at one of them.  I said what do i need to do when i get to the computer because i have a good memory.   He says.. well it would be better if i can talk to you when you are at the computer.  Then my fun had to end because i had to drive away from where i was waiting on my wife to finish in the stores.  I have worked as a network administrator at a broadband Internet provider for 13 years and 4 years before that at another one.   So this was particularly amusing for me but i know some people might get nail by these idiots. I hope they get their a$$ busted.

I received a call from a person who said I needed to delete hacker files immediately. He had an Asian accent, I asked his what his name was twice and he finally said, "John Williams." I said, Wow a good American name! He said, Yes. I asked what company he was calling from. He claimed to be a Senior Microsoft Technician. I said, "Oh so you work for Microsoft?" He said, No that I have purchased a service from him and his is my personal technician. I said, "Oh really, how is it I have purchased your services?" I asked for his number he gave me 844-804-9030 and I asked three times for his extension Number which he gave me Ext 8014. He asked me to go and turn on my computer. I told him "my computer is off." He said with authority. I can't fix your computer unless you turn it on. I said, "No my computer will stay off." I said, Since my computer is off, "How is it that you know I have been hacked?" He said," through networking and other devices. It is very important that I turn on my computer now." I told him I would "call him back!" Then I hung up!

I just got a call from this TechSupport company with a thick Indian accent giving my IP address and trying to get me to do something saying forcefull my backend is exposed to malicious software and log-into their service to see how to remove things etc etc...anyway just from his voice and demeanor it was clear to me he is trying to sign me up for something down the line I really don't need and want. This is a SCAM. They start by saying they are from Windows tech support. Then they have you look up the error messages on your computer. There will be a lot and per my nephew who is an IT guy, that is fairly normal. Then they ask you to open a file called Teamviewer. This is a remote software product that gives them access to your computer. DO NOT DO THIS. Microsoft/Windows would not utilize Teamviewer they would use their own remote access software.
