I got an online safari pop-up dialog box with a security warning that named a website http://www.system-online-error.com. It also named a tech support phone number 1-844-809-5829. The message is suspicious because the website did not exist...

This is a scam website that is trying to hijack your computer -- I cannot figure out how it got on my system and now... how to combat it.  For  now, I just delete browsing history and it seems to go away --- for a while.  Any help wpould be nice.

They almost made me buy 200$ worth of protection and I was ok until they said they needed my credit info and I knew something wasn't right because Microsoft doesn't ask personal questions like that and I did some research and the name of these dicks are Muhammod Allen and Thomas Heidenburg one from Russia and the other from India which are the main sources of these scams and frauds...thank you for your time:)

I got the same website .... easy to fix it ... open task manager and select the browser and end task ... and there you go...
But for fun , i like to call them , to mess with them a bit .... they got so fed up with me !   but i keep on doing once in a while..... not with my real phone number, using magic jack app, google voice , or any other program that lets me make free call over wifi....
