Yeah, got a similar message earlier this week on the home phone; "Chris Powell" from the "Legal Caring Services" claimed he had a summons but never said who it was for; similar wording as the other call reports above.  This scumbag ought to be in jail doing hard labor for these ridiculous scams that prey on the uninformed and tie up people's time.

I received a call @ 8:22P.M. tonight, stating the same jargon that I've read here. First I was startled so I called the number back and got a "Susan Porter's" voicemail, I told her my name and number, and said that I wasn't aware of any legal matters that concerned me. I then went to my computer and looked up the number and low and behold I found all of these posts. I know all the formalities that transpires just as stated in these posts, and I know that this is NOT our local courts procedures.  So I want them to show up to my home and when they leave they won't be calling anyone else's phone with this foolery!!!  I guarantee you that, I have a subpoena for them and when they get here, we're going to have a "come to Jesus" meeting.

got a call from this number. they said the same thing, summons, have two forms of i.d. etc.  sounds like a scam to me

Just received this call a few minutes ago. Same spiel, summons in hand, coming today, 2 forms of ID. Got this same type of call several months ago, and have received several different versions of other extortion scam calls over the past 6 months. I never call back, and just block these numbers.

Harassing calls saying they have a summons for court to be served within 24 hrs and if they couldn't get in touch with me they would put a warrant out for my arrest.

My elderly mother keeps receiving calls from this number, threatening summons action.  This was in reference to an old account of my brother's (who has lived in Alaska for the last 30 years and with whom we have no contact).  I have told the company 'Caring Legal Services' that if they contact her again, that they will be the ones speaking with an attorney.  The man that called was named Christopher Powell and I am wondering if there is anything else we can do to stop these harrassing phone calls.  The gentleman (and I use that term loosely) that called today told her that she would be served with a summons in the next 48 hours.  We have received no less than 8 calls over this and it is not my brother's phone number nor did my mother have anything to do with this account.

I received messages on my phone also from Powell advising me that they will be serving me with as summons. The number was 809-844-8788 like all the other numbers I've seen and the lady said her name was Jacqueline walker and for me return her call at 585-645-0780 just like the other people who have received this call. How do I get this to stop?

I just received the same recorded message.  This a total scam.  DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!!  It can be scary, but don't fall for it.  If they want money they need to get a real job!!!!

Just as a follow-up to others that get this call and wonder about the outcome: No one has showed up at my residence nor place of business. It has been well over 48 hours.

They're scammers, so they won't stop calling.  You can block their number if your phone has that feature.  Or you can get a call blocker - you can get a good one for $60 or less.  Or if they're calling your cell phone and it doesn't have a number block feature, you can assign a "no ring" tone, so at least you won't have to hear them when they call.  If you have the company name, please do report them to the FTC and your state's Attorney General.

Man named Chris Powell called saying he had a summons for me...didn't use my name and said I could call back to get further information.  He would serve the summons within 48 hours.  He ought to work for a living instead of harassing honest hard working people.  I am ignoring him

Another scam that call that my "call blocker fairy stopped dead in their tracks"...  If you're reading this.. You own a computer.
If you have a telephone....Every provider has free or very cheap call blocker service...  If you ain't got one
get one, or continue to have to deal with morons like this and many, more to come..

A summons is a "Legal Document", that requires a "Legal Service" from either a Sheriff, or somebody who
is a sworn official of the court...  They are not called "Process Servers" for no reason...  They must "Process"
the summons in a legal manner...  NEVER is a summons done verbally, or over the phone  IT MUST BE
A LEGAL DOCUMENT SIGNED BY A JUDGE"... IN WRITTING...  Why would anyone believe that they
would give you a heads up, so you are not available to be served??????????  Hello

This is the second time this place has called my house in 6 months.  Christopher Powell with summons to be served, saying they will come to my work and supervisor will need to be available.and need 2 ID's, babbling about missed cout appearances. What a scam, last time the called in February and said the same thing but never came. Someone needs to shut this place down, using fear and intimidation to trick and scam people!!!

Yea,I just git this annoying phone call earlier today from this Christopher Powell man claiming to have a summons ready for me & to be prepared to be served either at my house or job & to have 2 forms of ID ready & if I don't respond to it in the next 24hours I would be issued a warrant Smh what a shame at folks trying to find ways to con & play folks for their money

What they are doing is trying to collect on a debt that legally can't be collected see your state laws on debt collections.  Over the last year they call me once a month saying this but will not tell me their company name or what debt they are collecting for. So I just stopped answering the calls.
