844-813-3129

Someone left a VM on work landline alleging he needed info re: free gift we were to receive.   Number he gave 844-813-3129 was not the number that appeared on caller ID: 312-779-5895.

Did not return call.

Received message that I won 25k from a 312 number Paul Norstrom.  When I called back a lady answered claims center.  When i asked where i was calling she hung up obviously scammers.

Same here, message left saying we have won 25K.  did not return the call

i too received call from a paul nordstrom at 1 844 813 3129 that i won for $25k. i am glad that i can google the number and find this site to check. thank you

Received phone call sating that they needed to speak to me concerning a 25K giveaway it said to call 844-813-3129 to call but caller ID came up as 312-779-5841, was curious so called number 312 number and it came up your call can't be completed as dialled, and the 844 number no one answers. Dam I wanted to have some fun today.

Same experience as noted above. Note that he did NOT say that I had actually won anything: he was calling "regarding your recent entry into our $25000 prize contest", and that "we need to follow up with you". While he ended the call with "Congratulations", he never indicated that I'd actually won anything at all. He also did NOT give the name of the company/organization that he was with, only mentioned the "Gift Recovery Division". He also did NOT say my name on the message, I'm sure it was a recording. And since I don't ENTER prize contests, (since 99.9% of them are just a scam to be able to telemarket to you), I did NOT make a "recent entry".
I'm guessing that if I called them back, they would want me to pay a "processing fee" or "taxes" or some such, that will far exceed the value of any "gift" that I might get from them. Also, since it's an 8xx area code, they will get your real phone number, even if you have it blocked. Thus you can get even more telepest calls! (Maybe that's the "gift' you get.)
They called from 312-779-5739, which is similar to, but not identical to, the numbers previously reported above. The calling name field was the same as the calling number.

You are right - These are Advance Fee Scams.
And usually very effective, they are in the top 5 scams just about every year in terms of amount of money scammed.
-- Also called "Pig in a Poke" scams.  You pay for something unseen, and end up with exactly nothing.

Similar to above.  Caller was "Paul Nordstrom".  Caller ID showed the call came from 312-779-5067.  Message was the same "shtick" as already described.  Asked me to call 844-813-3129

daleinaz is correct. There was no mention of having won anything but merely having entered a contest. I'd thought of calling the toll free number and asking if this was the place to get my Medicare approved back brace but decided to wash windows instead...

They are still at it. Scam indeed.

Left a message that I had won a contest for $25,000 I had entered. I called and left several messages, but no one ever called me back. Would have been nice since I am out of work.

Same as above. They didn't identify where they were from and hung up. Obvious scammers.

I saw the voicemail knew it was a scam (so i googled it, but still had hope mid google search) thought i was going to be able to pay off my student loans. I hate them for this.

Called and left a VM message that regarding $25k for a contest had entered. I never entered any such contest and he never left any valiable information. Probably a scam.

Same number , said I won 1 of 3 prizes, highest 25,000 I've been pestering them too call me back but phone hung up couple times, I'm done , scam I guess! Maybe they decided to stop calling when I mentioned my car was broke down. Said was home depot sweepstakes

Paul  called to congratulate me on winning an old sweepstakes that I entered. Winning 25,000 and needing me to call back 844-813-3129. This is just a scam!  I've blocked the number, but I still got them anyway.

HE called w/ this number, I called back, SHE changed it from a CASH give away to something at local place worth 25 thousand which is not possible, she kept asking me if I called to entert?, I told here I guess, she told me I would have had to enter, I told her I obviously must have or she wouldn't call me, she got nasty in the way of being patronizing telling me to have a good day and hung up.  So NOW I want the 25 thousand CASH!!!!
