Caller called with a unknown case number.

I just got the same call, when I dialed it it immediately disconnected

Received a call saying I owe on an old credit card.  Had already called credit card company they said I never had a card for this number.  Called the company back. They answered the phone with three different names.   When I tried to inquire more.  The guy got hateful.  Ask for gentleman by name.  He never answered the phone.  Three names three different numbers.

First off, I received a call from  a 540 number claiming to be a process server stating I was being sued. He could not tell me any information other than to call 844 813 8217 Case 15-150465. I called the number. He had my name correct, but the last 4 of the social did not match. Eric Mays answered the phone as SL Legal. I have googled. I can't find SL Legal. I called them back the next day. I told the man he broke the law by misrepresenting themselves. There is no lawsuit, but just a ruse to intimidate me to call. The kicker is the debt was not mine. I am wondering how they obtained my cell phone number. I called back the phone number from the "alleged summons processor" and it was clearly a debt collector stating to leave name and number. This is in clear violation of FDCPA. Personally, I believe they are at least a scam. At best they are in a bad faith debt collector who does not follow the law. I was told they did not have to state they are a debt collector because they are a law firm.

It is illegal to claim to be an attorney if they are not.  Real process servers do NOT warn you if they are coming

Most likely this group:

S & L Financial,  a so-called "mediation and legal office" which is scammer double-talk for debt collector.

AKA: Sage Lincoln Financial Firm, supposedly in Ontario CA.

According to an entry date 6-12-2015 at 844-416-7133 on 800notes, they have a mail drop address at: 3281 East Gausti Road, 7th Floor, Ontario, California, 91761

This Gausti Road address is also used by Westpoint Group another scamming outfit.
