Scam wanted money to settle an account that I never had.

They have called me also about a lab bill and told him I have no balances.

Same thing happened to me, same phone number.  I laugh because I strictly use my VA benefits.  So now I call them using an english accent, or my best imitation of my korean sister-in-law when she first came to the states.  They ask me if I speak english and I try my hardest not to laugh.  I'll hang up and call them back.  Basically, I mess with those who mess with us.  Shame on them.  I do not feel bad or guilty about calling them.  I feel sorry for the ones who gave them money and/or those harassed by them.

Called yesterday and asked for me by my maiden name (red flag). Caller stated he was with Credit Control LLC and they were collecting a debt on behalf of SSM Medical. Almost immediately asked for payment of my "debt." I told him I would not be paying over the phone and would contact SSM directly. Definitely a scam. I verified with both SSM hospital billing, as well as our physician's office that we have no balance.

keep calling at all hours and either hang up on me when I ask what it is about, they have been rude and downright irritating

Like the other remarks.. I have received many calls from this number 844-822-3541 and when answering most of the time they just hanging up and never leaving in message. So I happened to call back about 30 seconds after missing the call and I man answers. with a accent saying the company's name was astrix or something like that because. I asked him 5 times and still couldn't get a better answer than that. I also asked him what did this company do. He kept telling me he had something urgent to tell me, but needed to verify my information. Wanted to know my name, address, date of birth and at that point. I hung up on them . because nobody should ask you all that information without telling you what the company does and  say they have to verify their information .before they can tell you anything, but you called me.  definitely a identity theft scam person.. I just wish I figured it out before I confirmed name and address. This Identity theft I believe. We need to report this guy somewhere and get him in trouble. cuz all of us are probably seriously in trouble now with this guy stealing our identities!

keep calling 50 times a day, offering car and health insurance
