    This number is also for the RH Group. They obviously use different numbers. Do Not let them scare you.
    This girl Kim Johnson left me a message that this claim came across her desk today, and that I had just one opportunity to call the people today and take care of this. I called to see who they were, they are RH Group, and say Cash Call has a claim with them against me. I told them thats funny cause I received a letter from state attorney general (for New York) that CashCall (Western Sky) was sued and they lost and they were directed to have all negative info removed from my credit report(and they actually did have it removed because I looked at my report online) it used to be there not its not. Anyway I told them I don't owe anyone a damn dime. And then I hung up. I am sure in a month or so they will try again. BLAH BLAH BLAH

    I received a voice mail message on my recorder from stating their name was Mile Riley.  He said a formal complaint had been filed and I had one opportunity to contact the plaintiff to resolve the dispute but gave no details as to what the dispute was about.  He said to call 844-827-6617.  He tried to act like he was an attorney without stating that he was one.  The funny thing was that in the message he left, he used my neighbor's name and not mine.

    My vote is to scrap the "do-no-call list" and come up with something heavier to counter these morons.  I never used to get any of these scam calls but in the last couple of years, it has grown out of control.  Something needs to be done.

    A Paul Lewis is calling both my cell and my work phone (this is public knowledge if you google me) saying he is a process server and my neighbor has a case against him for check fraud and I am listed on the court documents. He left numerous messages saying "insert neighbor name" consider yourself served. Also left a message to call this number 1-844-827-6617 and a claim number.
    I have reported them and will pursue it for harassment them if they keep calling me!

    It's a scam.  You may want to look into getting a call blocker - you can get a good one for $60 or less.

    Call the department of Justice in Washington and New York state andask to file a complaint file a complaint,They are also known as Rotech Holidings out of Williamsville NY, and also claim to be arbitraters callred RH Group, RTH Group out of Seattle, Washington.
    I was advised by the Department of Justice in Washington State that if they call tell them they are violating your Rights under I believe it's the Fair Credit Practices Act , you can look it up. Also file complaint with the FTC.
    They cannot harrass you by phone, or family or anyone else for that matter they are scammers, do NOT send them a dime I filed 3 complaints today and will file another tomorrow.
    Look at the list of people here and complaint wire, the Justice Dept. in Washington said they had recieved complaints about them ALL day!
    Read your rights legitamite debt or not, a real creditor has 5 days after the first call to send you a letter to validate the debt. with their address and phone number, tou have 30 days to dispute the debt.
    Next it is illegal to harras threaten or give out information by a creditor under the law. So no , "pay us in an hour or we will sue you."
    There are more rules and next time they call , HANG UP!
    I want them prosecuted and if everyone here files a complaint they will be power in numbers, someone has to stop them!

    I also got a call from a Bruce weber saying that (man's name not even my name) had a formal complaint filed against him & he had just 1 hour to resolve then repeated it ending with "Do you understand!"
    Called back the next yelling & said "since you have so blatantly chosen to ignore me, a processor will be appearing at your door. You had a chance to resolve this issue but you wasted it!"
    Can't get any info as to what this is about...called them a few more & either get a recording or very hateful people.

    I am getting threatening phone calls at work and on my cell from a guy named Eric Francis. He claims to be a process server, the 1st time he called he said he did not know what court the summons was from then today he spits out a name. Funny thing is I have no summons or cases in any court against me so how can I be served a summons?. He claims he is doing this for the RH Group, 844-827-6617 is the number he keeps giving me to call. I have asked him repeatedly to stop calling me and he just keeps calling back saying he is trying to help me. He has went as far to threaten our admin girl because she refuses to pass the call to me. was getting calls from a Kim Johnson telling me the same stuff, it stopped for a month and now its a new person calling me.. I want this company to STOP calling me once and for all.

    Everyone needs to call their state Attorney Generals office Consumer affairs. I just called and they get many calls like this a day. These people are very hard to stop since they operate outside the US and have no physical address but if enough people call and complain this start a formal investigation.

    The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

    •is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
    •refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
    •asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
    •exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

    If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

    •Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
    If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

    •Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

    •Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft – charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

    •Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

    •Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

    DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!! They have been calling me every day since May 27, 2014, from a private number, demanding payment on an online payday loan I took out several years ago. They ask me to call back at this (844) 827-6617 number. I was stupid enough to call back on the first call; dude claims to be a Floyd Matthews working as an arbitrator for Cash Yes (online payday loan lender) and refused to give me their mailing address or validate the debt upon my request. He said they were going to sue me for check fraud if I didn't pay them. I referred them to my attorney, and he said they don't deal with attorneys because my case is in pre-litigation. What kind of debt collector doesn't want to work with your attorney if they are serious about getting paid? I hung up on the fake scammer. He called again saying his name is now James Matthews. Ridiculous! I am reporting them to the FTC and Attorney General's office.

    Someone named Mike Riley called identifying himself as a process server and that a former acquaintance of mine needed to call 844-827-6617 and he gave me a case number to reference.  When I began to question who he was and what  this was about, he became rude and refused to answer any questions and then began to harass me in a loud voice.  I lost my cool and then hung up on him.  He tried calling back twice but I didn't answer.   His phone number was blocked and I couldn't identify the number he was calling from.  His intimidation was extreme.  When I "lost my cool" he told me that's why he doesn't give out his number.  In the heat of the moment I was angry but wish I'd stayed calm and maybe laughed at him instead.  I did that in the past to an obscene phone caller.  It's probably not wise but very effective.

    Does anybody can do something to eliminate people's frustation about it and stress comes with it ????
    FCC should be on top of this mess.
