call from 561 225 2161 for my wife using her maiden name claiming complaints being filed in their office against her. no mention of a company name. total bs scam

Yes. Who the heck are they. My sister keeps getting calls.  She knows it's nothing for her. They call all the time.

Got a phone call from a 513 296 2774 number, and this is the number they told me to contact. Obvious spoofing, which is illegal. Also, no mention of the company. I don't owe any money either, I defeated this last time it went through.

Its a debt collector. Miller, Stark, Klein and Associates. Ignoring.

They call and its obviously a recording... saying some action is being filed against the name of my son.  that I can press one to speak with them or take the number and call them back.  This is the second call I have gotten on my cel phone from these people.  They give no other information.  The call came about 6 weeks or so apart.  I suspect they are a bottom feeder collection agency.  He owes no monies to anyone.

Received a recorded call from 617-213-1261, they used my maiden name and claimed complaints being filed in their office against me, saying to call 844-840-4673 then hung up. No mention of a company name.... Total scam

I got a cat from this number saying that santander a company where I had a repo from was taking me to court

Just got a call today. DO NOT ANSWER!! Told me to call 844-840-4673 and I had a complaint on me.

Call from 602-883-4902. Message about a complaint filed against me. Gave 844-840-4673 to call. No name or info what it's regarding. Disregard-if it was legit the notice would come in writing.

I too got this call and I called Santander directly only to find out that my debt had been wiped "clean" as a negative and that I do not owe anything and should not pay. I recorded all the phonecalls

3/14/2017.  I just received a voicemail.  A female saying "I'm calling regarding some complaints being filed here in our office against you..." No mention of her name or a business name.  How pathetic.

got a call from 301-298-1798.  female voice, then states my name in a recorded male voice telling me there are complaints against me in their office and I need to call 844-840-4673.  I have no outstanding bills.  SCAM!

Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.   You might want to block the 844 area code; it is often used by scammers.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking),  the only thing they understand.

Got a call the other day. Left a message saying they have an order to locate. Today my husband answered and the guy gave a name and said he is out of Washington D.C. but they have like 30 locations. That is all they would tell him besides it's a legal matter

Called me using my maiden name. I haven't had that name for 12 years! Man's recording saying my name & a woman with a southern accent telling me to call them about a complaint filed against me. Total crap. Blocking the #.
