Received a call on my work phone from the above number.  They did not leave a message so I'm assuming it's a spam call.

Called but left no message.  Do not recognize this number

CID said "Account Control". Did not leave a message.

Called my dad's landline.  A woman asked for my dad.  I asked if I could take a message.  She said "Yes, tell him to please call Porshia at this number."  Is this a telemarketing call?  She said "No it's not."  I asked what it was regarding and she said "it is of a personal matter."  I hung up.  Caller ID says "ACCOUNT CONTROL"

Left no voicemail, caller ID only showed the number. They called me a few months ago, same thing, no message left.Possible spam.

They have now called me twice at my work! I don't even know how they know I work here. I have never given this # to anyone but my customers. But anyway, the first time they called they said they were "calling to speak on a personal matter and I need to verify some information so we can speak freely" The first time it didn't register right away that this wasn't right so I mistakenly gave them my birth date, but when he asked me to verify the last four of my social it kicked in that I needed to ask questions. This is how the conversation went:
Me: "before I give you anything else, you need to tell me the name of your company and why you are calling".
him: "I will tell you everything you need to know after I verify it is you".
Me: "No, I don't know anything about you and you aren't getting anything else out of me until you give me some information about yourself!"
him: "I understand your reservations, but until I verify I am speaking with (says my full name) then I cannot give you that information, but I can at least tell you this, did you go to college and have student loans?
Me: "yes"
him: "then that's why I am calling"
I proceeded to give him trouble about him not telling me his companies name, so he finally gave me a name that I can't remember, but I know that I have never heard of it before, and I told him that. He then said "A lot of people haven't heard of us yet because they don't realize what we are able to do" he said a few other things but I don't remember what it was. But I told him that I was busy and that I would call him back in an hour. He said ok then I hung up. I never called him back. That was four months ago. And this time he said the same thing "I'm calling to speak on a personal matter and I need to verify some information so we can speak freely". I told him to never *bleeping* call me again then hung up.
Do not give these people anything. If it doesn't feel right, then it's not.
