All this in a space of 2 min. Do not answer this number.  It is a SCAM.   They are very Rude.

Received call from a person stating that they represent aol and are alerting me to an account breach of my aol account and want me to turn my computer on so they can "check" it.  Called aol to verify whether they are legit and determined they were not.  Do not receive calls from this number.

I received a call asking for someone named "bunky" - clearly a wrong number, but then the person calling who was foreign proceeded to question my GENDER, saying I sounded like a woman instead of a man and asked to speak to my WIFE to verify I was a male and then told her she didn't sound female!!!!!   I can not tell you how offended and angry were are, and how inappropriate that was from a company.  Called back and asked to speak to a manager and was transferred to a "manager" named PETER who apologized but then proceeded to call me MS. Harkins, and even after I corrected him, he still refused to call me Mr.   I don't know who these asshats are, but whoever these people are, I hope they are shut down.

I know who they are (sort of) because they already got into my computer. It took me a solid 24 hours working with Microsoft during which I lost everything. They are Indian in origin but they route their numbers through all sorts of other numbers,in the US. They never use these numbers for long. A friend of ours works for the FTC and they are one of their top targets to prosecute. I suggest reporting them to FTC--you never know, you might have a piece of info that could help. This number called me last night saying my email was hacked and he was from HP TECH SUPPORT. I blew him off and called HP. He had all my info form them, my case number and all, so had it changed, after they wouldn't stop calling i finally called them. After chatting for about 5 minutes, told him that the HP supervisor was on with a conference call and the number is now under investigation. Also told him that the conversation was being recorded.....( all which was a lie) NEVER GIVE ANYONE REMOTE ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER!! I wonder how he is feeling now???

Knowing it's a scam number, I interact with them for a little bit, then I started acting like I'm having a hard time understanding their Australian accent. Then I asked if there is someone without such a heavy Australian accent. When that person comes on, I started "not understanding" that person's thick Irish accent. Eventually, they hung up. I blocked the number and started calling that number over and over and over and over and over again and again and again and again. Different people might answer and I'd go "He-e-ey, how you guys doin'?" and stuff like that. Sometimes one of the guys would be really vulgar and I'd use some of the "wog" insults I had picked up on a YouTube channel. Call and call and call. I'm disabled and retired, so, it's no big deal to redial watching TV or reading.

A couple of times, they sent me to the answering machine, so, I blah-blah-blahed there, too.

So far (Feb 10, 2017), they have not made the number unreachable, so I continue.

Just received a call from an obviously foreign man, with a lot of "call center" type noise.  He called me by my first name, and rattled my email address off to me.  He then told me that at 8:04 last night I tried to change my password on AOL.  I had not and when I repeated back to him what he just said, he see so you did try to change your password.  Then he told me that is why he was calling me now.  There is a problem and he would help me through changing my password.  At that point, I asked him why then was I getting calls from this number for the past week?  He kept trying to say no, no this is the first call.  i again told him that this has been a daily, multiple times a day calling, and why would they call all week PRIOR to me"resetting" my password.  He tried to correct me, I told him to take my number off his list.  I am dumb at times but I am not blooming stupid.
