I got one today.  A voice message says there's a claim against me and asked me to call back and use the claim number they provided.  Must be a scam.

Same message I've gotten from other scam numbers.  They call and bug me but I never answer so they stop for awhile and then start up again a few weeks later from a different number.   Ignore them they are scammers!  I'm going to get my number changed...

I received a call from this number today for my husband. It was automated and said there was a claim against him. I called the number back and a guy answered and started going off on me. He was using profanity and said FU b* I will see you in court. Said he was putting this claim against me. Then he hung up on me. I didn't even have time to give the guy a name or the "case" number the automated gave me. Thinking scammer.

Stated I needed to call back as they forwarded to attornies. I have been Getting these stupid calls on a regular basis. Getting damn mad! Can' t this be stopped.

All you have to do is program your phone to block specific unwanted callers like this from ringing your phone. You'll never know they're calling, unless you check.

There is no law, program, list, registry, system, or any complaint you can make that can block anyone from calling you in the first place.

Had the audacity to call my cell phone and then my OFFICE phone with some automated message claiming that I had a claim against me and that I needed to call them back. No option to remove my number from their mailing list.

They called me not only at my work number but on my cell phone, leaving an automated message, claiming that I had a defaulted account with a company called Cash/Call and Western Sky. When I asked to have them send me information regarding the account, they sent me an email with a REPLYTO gmail account. I am not opening the attachment for obvious reasons, and asked them to send me official documentation regarding this debt in the mail. These calls started happening after dealing with another company, CDL Litigation, who had the audacity to harass me with calls claiming that they are trying to serve me a summons at my job for the same supposed account.

Got the automated message about a claim against me. Have been getting these calls for years now. Do these people really get anyone to pay these bogus claims?

Scammer. A pre-recorded message on my VM is looking for someone but not me. Wants them to call pre-legal.

I received a message from this number today. Says I haven't responded to numerous letters they supposedly mailed me. Told me to contact them immediately and reference number 811897.  Chalking this up to SPAM.

Got the same call and same letter. They gave me a phone # to call to verify that they are not a scam?????

Also got the same letter. Asked me to call National Debt Holdings. I know I owe something but got 2 companies calling? Can't determine which one is legitimate.

Most of those payday loan were declared illegal.  That letter does not meet federal regulations which state that it contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Also, it must be sent US mail, not email or fax or any other method.  This is an out and out scam.

Greenbackrecoverygroup (dot) com has had their account suspended, which is why they are using a gmail address.

Received a voicemail from this number today.  It said this message was for....and then never stated a name.  It also said to call back and use reference #.....and never stated a reference #!  It also said that I haven't been returning their calls or letters mailed to me.  I've had no prior calls, and nothing in my mail.  Definitely seems like some kind of scam to me!

Just got a precorded vm from this # and the states that it was a personal matter for juanita no last name just my first name and said to call back and reference # but then didn't state a number same thing saying I've never replied to numerous calls and letters which I never recieved so yea it's got a be a scam

Got a vm from GR Group about a credit card I paid off years ago. What's bad is that they had my last 4 and the amount that I had owed. I told him that it was paid off and I called the credit card company and verified that it was paid. Definitely a scam. Concerned about ssn though.

If your feel you SSN has been compromised, in addition to putting a fraud alert at the 3 credit bureaus, you may want to notify the IRS.  Here is the link, fill out the proper form (probably 14039). Also file a report at the FTC Identity Theft web site as well as learn what else you need to do:

From  GR Group and gave  Reference Number. Also stated I have not answer any respose to any letters or phone calls, which I have not received.

Just got my first call from GR Group today.  It was to make arrangements to settle a deb in which I paid off in 2013. They knew my last 4 digits of my Social Security and named the  credit card  Company.  Stated I had been ignoring their phone calls and their letters that they sent to my address which I have not received. I told the lady I paid it off in 2013 and she told me send proof right away to a fax number she gave me.
