Answering machine took message which was difficult to hear at first.  Finally when speech was understandable it was a foreign language which I did not understand.   There was a conversation between to men with lot of laughter.

This is definitely a scam. I already filed a complaint. I am a Lawyer and I have no legal issues or unpaid debts. Even if anyone have any related matters, these are not the steps to follow and they are breaking the law.

Hey I just received a call from this 18448802182 and he couldn’t tell me anything he just said it’s legal documents and I feel it’s a scam. Am I right? This has never happened. Talking about I got a case and gave numbers but I don’t do anything to have a case smh

Give your local courthouse (civil division) a call.  They will confirm the scam (and illegal scare tactic).

So I've been getting this call and have spoken with a kelly she is saying I have a overdraft  at a bank in 2009 in Wichita I do not recall, asked for legal documents  and she said I'll consider you waive your rites and you will be served soon???  What is this?

Mis, this is something called "a scam".

Yesterday there number came up , and I never answer them today it was private, my mother usually  calls that way and so I answered. I onto even recall getting a company name as I would like to better understand stand how these people have all of my information?  Here is the number 1 844 880 2182.

There's a thing called Statutory of Limitations.  Which means, there's a limit these people have to charge you with anything. 7 year's is the average and must likely the category this so called crime would fall, under. Google that hopefully you'll see what I'm talking about and you'll feel a little better.  I believe this is a scam, too.

Wow, maybe you should learn a few things before you try telling people about the "statutory of limitations".

Debt Extortion Scammers

A vague scare tactic message designed to panic a victim into calling back.

Most debt collectors will use a certain amount of pressure to convince you to pay the debt. After all, they often don't get paid unless you pay. Be suspicious of a debt collector who uses an unusual amount of pressure to get you to pay immediately, particularly if they also use scare tactics to get you to pay right away. For example, a debt collector is scamming you if it :

• threatens you with a lawsuit and tells that you can avoid the lawsuit by paying right away
• Says a Process Server  or Courier is coming with papers to sign
• Threatens to call / go to your place of employment
• Insists you have been notified, served or are non-compliant via phone message(s)
• Refuses to give a company name or verifiable Contact source
• Refuses to send proof of debt via US mail

A sure sign of a debt collection scam is a collector that wants to you to pay via wire transfer or another method that can't be traced. If the payment method can't be traced, you'll have a harder time getting the authorities involved.

If the creditor sounds completely foreign, or you know you never had an account with that business, there's a chance it's a scam. Never pay a collection you don't recognize. You have the right to request written proof of the debt from the debt collector before you send payment.

Woman on the phone was VERY rude and obnoxious. I was trying to get some information from her. She said that I was being non compliant and not to call back unless I gave her a case number, then she hung up on me.  Very unprofessional. Sounds like a scam.
