I received a call from an AMANDA TAYLOR from STARK LAW! Telling me I had a payday loan out from 2011. I have never taken a payday loan out in my life!!! They threatened me with a lawsuit and called my employer and left a message saying they were going to seek me out and I had to contact them or they would file legal action against me! I called them asking when and where this was done. They had all of my personal information SSN, DOB, last employer, old address (during 2011). They wanted $2950.00 but settled for $375.00. I am caring for my dying elderly father and can not go to court or fight these people. They had a lot of information and it worried me! I contacted an attorney after I fell to their SCAM! The attorney told me to ask certain questions of them. They claim to be a law office not a collection company! I asked for the attorney lic # and the bar # of the apparent man on the other end who claimed he was an attorney! He would not provide any of this to me. I asked for the information that I was told I signed to do this loan, they refused and told me they do not have to supply me with anything I ask for because..... THEY ARE NOT A COLLECTION COMPANY.... THEY ARE A LAW FIRM!!! The address he gave me is a UPS mail number. He refused to give me the address of the building the company works out of. I also asked for the PROFESSIONAL LICENSE # of this company.... HE REFUSED AGAIN!!! They are refunding my money and I have to go through the stress of canceling my credit card and getting a new one. Yes, I was dumb for falling for this, I JUST HOPE NO ONE ELSE GETS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF!!!

So once you questioned them did they stop calling you?

Same here. When I returned a call, I was given ALL of my information. They have my full ss#, address, bank info & birthdate.
Was told I had a $300 payday loan and it is now $2400, but will turn into a Fraud case against me!
Stacy Brown from Stark (Scam also) Law has been calling my relatives. If you google the address they give you, it's a PO box at a UPS store. Obviously it's a huge scam-don't fall for it.
If they won't send you anything via mail it's a scam.
Get the number and call the West Mont Illinois Police Department, then go to the Federal trade commission and file a report online.

It is a fraud scam.  Not true debt collectors at all.

It is a fraudulent outfit.
Do not pay, or give info.

Please someone help me on how to stop this people from calling, they are calling my manager my husband my cellular is crazy please help
