I got a text saying someone tried to use my Google account with my email address. I did not reply

I received the same, wondering if it is legitimate from google?

Said someone used my password to try to sign in to (email address that is not me and I don't recognize) . So how did I get a text about it?

They texted a phone number that they are probably trying to use to open an account and hoped your curiosity was enough to get the scam going.

Same here. Text from Google that login was prevented to my Gmail account. It also showed a link in case I wanted more information. Not too long ago I opened a ticket with Google support. I received several emails back from Google. I noticed that the sender of the emails at the end of the message was Google LLC, and on a different support email it said Google, Inc.
I questioned Google in regards the structure of the business, I knew it wasn't a Corporation. I expected to be questioned about the email from Google, Inc., instead I was rather chewed out! I was shocked getting the answer they gave me. Wasn't polite at all!
