Obviously it is too late for this person to see this reply but I wanted to address what he posted. "Suspected spam" is put there by the phone company based on reports from people such as that person who never, ever answer the phone and then automatically assume that the call is "spam/scam/telemarketer" and report it as such without any supporting evidence. This will result in future legitimate calls getting classified that way and going unanswered. I know this for a fact because this has happened to me several times on calls from my hospital and doctors. Fortunately I know those numbers and answered.Quote:Ally Bank is now using a suspected spam number to harrass people with! - Pam SterrettRepetitive calls and claim they are Allie Bank. - CiaraThis number has been calling and claims to be Ally Bank. After speaking with Ally using the number listed on their website, this is NOT them.
- LouGot a call for someone who apparently had this number before me. I've had this number for 5 years and still get these calls. It gave an option to report a wrong number, but then connected me to a barely English speaking person who couldn't do anything without an account number, which of course I don't have because I don't HAVE an account.
- Caller: Ally
- Call type: Debt collector
- RayI suppose this is Ally financial, which I do have an auto loan with. I'll be calling them back as I do not appreciate a robocall that asks for my personal information before even identifying who is calling.

- Aaron H| 1 replyThus number has called me about 10 times in just over a week 4 calls after 9pm and 1 call after 11pm. Half the time no one on the other end and they hang up. I have tried telling them they are calling me after their allowable time only to get hung up on. Most reps have thick accents most likely India/Pakistani (I dont knownthe difference. I emailed ally never got a reply, I then filed a consumer complaint and a BBB complaint within a week I had a customer service manager wanting to know the details of the calls so he can investigate the calls. We were about 10 days late when the calls started but we had called the service hotline to let them know we had moved and changed banks and when we had everything set up we would be making a payment. We also asked for them to send the lien holder paperwork to our new state as per the new states DMV requirements. We are 2 months later, fully caught up but still no paperwork sent to the DMV, still no resolution on why they were calling so late. The BBB case is still open and the consumer complaint is still open and pending with no response.

- BigA replies to Aaron HUnless you are within one of the 5 "enlightened states" original creditors are not regulated.
Which is why you always communicate via US mail sent certified, return receipt.Quote:I emailed ally never got a reply,
If you were late then that is why the calls started and continued since the computer only knows that you owe money.Quote:We were about 10 days late when the calls started but we had called the service hotline to let them know we had moved and changed banks and when we had everything set up we would be making a payment.
Again, matters of importance should be communicated via US certified, return receipt mail and not verbally or email.Quote:We also asked for them to send the lien holder paperwork to our new state as per the new states DMV requirements. - David replies to BobI got similar call and they want to collect your information. I told the agent that I am going to report them. From same number
- Ally autoIt's from ally bank. Best to call ally with the numbers from their website. You miss a payment, you will get a call from them. My due date was on the 20th, I payed on the 16th but due to my bank issues, the transaction got cancelled n returned. I then payed on the 20th with another bank n that one went through. They are trying to collect from the returned transaction which shouldn't be the case because I payed my car loan on time. Now I'm afraid of repo my car in the middle of the night.
