Malicious text disguised as 401-k company

Scammer sending texts and calling pretending to be empower bank

Came in the form of a text

Really?  I find it hard to believe 4 people allegedly received text messages and not a one of those 4 people could read the text.  I figure that would be the only reason no one has posted what this imaginary text message said.

Call back gets automated voice "Thanks for calling Empower.  If you need support, please contact us via the app."

I like how one of them claims the text message disguised itself as a "401-k company".

A text giving a code that I allegedly requested for Empower website. Seems scammy and it was not requested by me.

Same! It's saying it's an empower 401k.

Received a text giving me a code to "log in to Empower". I don't know what "Empower" is and I didn't request a verification code for anything. Sketchy people doing sketchy things. Beware.

I agree with most ppl here. Text says it’s from Empower & gives a code I supposedly requested? Only I didn’t. Just do haps to have shown up at the sametime as a USPS text saying they couldn’t deliver my package & needed $3 to mail it. I didn’t mail a package.
Total scammers! Block & report it!
