800notes does not have to power to remove you from any calling list.  This is just a site where unknown calls can be logged.  Posting your phone number here is just asking for trouble and more calls.

Illegal robocall with the google maps scam.  Caller ID showed Local Services.  Reported to the FCC and FTC.

This one is egumball.com out of Irvine, CA.  Same thing, pre-record in violation of FTC rules that does not mention their name, but states that the call is from "Google Maps".  To me, this is a deceptive trade practice as it intentionally creates confusion with a well-known trademark.  I was the one that had to ask the actual name of their company.  Then they high pressure you to commit immediately to a contract for getting placement on google maps.  Which you can start the process yourself for free.

Call came in under "local services". It was a recording saying it was Google Maps wanting to verify info that we had recently changed. You can press 1 to talk to someone or 2 to be removed from the list. So I am assuming it is a scam.

I received a computer generated voice saying they were Google Maps. Then asked me to speak with a Google representative who started asking me to verify certain data. I asked for what purpose and they hung up on me.

I recently used the Google 'circles' feature and almost immediately began being inundated with Google-related and other telemarketing calls on both my unlisted landline and cell phone.  I'm not sure how my private information was accessed or discovered given I have never divulged it anywhere online.  In the past two days I have received 14 of these calls on my landline and 8 on my cell phone, and although I block them immediately my phones only have a limited storage capacity and quite frankly I am sick and tired of having to deal with these very intrusive calls - and the people making them.  When will our legislators put some teeth into the laws that were intended to stop these unwanted telemarketers?  I'd love to sue them and send a message that would eventually make unsolicited telemarketing a thing of the past.  So frustrating!
