I answered. They wanted to talk to me about "grant money" for school. My son is applying and luckily he used my number. SCAM>>>>>they would not tell me who they were, where they were, etc. I asked about fees, LOTS of them...when I asked them again who they were and where they were they hung up on me...

Received call from 845-241-1045, I answered but no-one talked. I held on and kept saying who is this, and they
hung up. Very annoying so answering machine will be answering from now on. Caller ID says Haverstraw, NY

I got a call from 845-241-1045 at 7:25 pm on March 24, 2016.  The caller did not leave a message even though my answering machine was on.  My caller ID said, "Out of area," which almost always means a telemarketer.  I have been on the federal Do Not Call list for over ten years.

Most of the scammers that call my landline hang up by the fourth ring, so I figure they aren't going to leave a message because that means they waste several seconds when they would rather redial and try their scam on another number.
