A scam they are using  publishers clearing house.

I didn't get a phone call but I got an email from this person staying that I should send the Ira 1000 dollars for insurance for the money I won.

I also got an email saying I have won and need to purchase an insurance certificate from the IRS for 1000.

Legitimate sweepstakes don’t require you to pay or buy something to enter or improve your chances of winning, or to pay "taxes" or "shipping and handling charges" to get your prize.


If you have to pay to receive your "prize," it’s not a prize at all.

I got a long mesage as well stating they no longer deliver the checks which kind of got me wondering why all of a sudden you had to stop... Then I must pay a 1000 dollars out to get a check insurance certificate... Upsetting that people want to take your dreams and scam you... Let us all do the necessary research first before we celebrate... I call PCH to verify and they told me that is not the way they conduct business and that it was a scam. No phone call from them but I called the number and some bogus recording saying no live represenative could be reached at that number.

I jsut got an email with that phone number in it that wants me to adopt a "dying woman's" baby after I send $2500 adoption fee for consideration
