- KevRobo call for wireless alarm system. Pressed 1 to speak to a rep. Spoke with Dana. I understood her to say that the company name was Central Security. She asked if I had had security before and slammed the phone down when I told her that this number was on every DNC list in the world. Reporting to US and TN DNC violation
- Caller: Central Security?

- Sir Bedevere replies to Sue DavisPressing "2" or any other number to be removed from the calling list of an illegal telemarketer never does any good. They've already broken the law by calling you so it's unlikely they'll have any sort of ethical behavior in their repertoire.
Being on the national Do Not Call registry does a lot of good: It stops 100% of legal, law-abiding businesses from making telemarketing calls to you. It does not stop illegal telemarketers any more than a "no trespassing" sign stops burglars. - David Palmerthey call and never say anything at all

- bill r. replies to Sue DavisYou need to give all the information when you make a complaint to the do not call .Gov-Time of call, date, telephone number, name if possible and any information you can that will help them. never press any numbers on your phone keypad, that could direct you to an overseas telephone number that you'll have to apy for, and tha's where they make their money, on that call. And complain again to the do not call .gov and I know it's a hasssle, I've had a least 5 calls stopped now,and it tok aboy 45 days. Also some phone companys offer block call information, I have that to, it cost a little but worth it, also some manufacureres offter a device to block up to 100 calls. Dion't let these jerks upset up.

- OhioCopThe best thing I've found is to act interested &
get as much info as possible. I had one alarm
selling Honeywell alarms keep calling until I
called Honeywell Legal Dept & tell them that I
was I filing a formal complaint against them
and the alarm company as their agent. I
mentioned the the FCC, FTC, and state
Attorney Generals office. I met with a ho-hum
response until I mentioned contacting one
of the Walk Street Journal's investigative
reporters... THAT got their attention.
Also, you can act interested & keep them
on the line, asking questions, etc. Then tell
Them someone is at the door, your cell phone
Is ringing, etc., but you'll be right back. Put
the phone down leave them waiting. They
will usually 'blacklist' your number and not
call you again.- Call type: Telemarketer

- TredThe FBI home alarm system scam used by predatory call centers and predatory Debt Collector call centers, I repeat myself, needed another look. Funny that within a week of me receiving a call from this number doing a search and finding a debt collector online associated to the number the calls have stopped from this number but am sure another number is being used and who knows what debt collector network they're in. The debt collector I called and of course admitted nothing and gave me the "it must have been a miss dial" speech was http://www.bbb.org/new-york-city/business-rev ... falls-ny-47299/#
