- Archerguy replies to NamelessI just responded after reading this thread and looking them up online. I was "almost" screened in, they may be able to add me to a group - the explanation was my age group was already filled. The screener said she would ask client if I can still be added and let me know. Seemed legit and I did not give up any information that was uncomfortable to me.

- KellyI just got home after participating in a focus group to discuss a new form of banking. I received $150 compensation for 2 hours. Six people made up the group. We were a very talkative group and quite frankly it was fun. Earning $150 has never been so easy. Our focus group all agreed that we hope to get another call from this company soon!.

- PhillyI work in fraud so i get the skepticism, but i participated in this. I got $200 for literally 39 minutes. They even validated parking. Don't over think this.
They asked me about my reward preferences for my credit card (chase). no DOB or SSN type questions.- Caller: Accurate Data Marketing

- Baltimore BillI was also skeptical, but I am glad I took a chance on this. When they first called, they offered me $150 for participating in a 2 hour focus group and said they would need to ask a series of qualifying questions. I also participate in online surveys through e-rewards.net (I was invited to join this through my Southwest Airlines frequent flyer program) and the questions Accurate Data asked were very similar to the things asked in those online surveys. It was a pretty extensive list of questions, but nothing that raised my suspicions (no credit card numbers or things like that). When we finished the questions I was put on hold for a couple of minutes and then the questioner came back and said I did not fit all the criteria but they would look for another group to fit me in. At this point I was thinking that the money offer was just a come on to get me to answer their survey questions, but I was only out about 10 minutes of my time so no big deal.
I was really surprised when they called back 2 days later and said they wanted me to participate in a different focus group and that I would get $200 for the two hour session. This time they asked only a few questions to confirm the information I had given on the previous survey, mainly that I have an Amazon Visa card. The focus group met last night at Observation Baltimore at the UMBC campus in Catonsville, MD. There were 9 in our group (there were other groups meeting as well) and we discussed our experiences using Amazon and our Amazon Visa cards. We were then shown some options Amazon is considering for their credit card program and gave our opinions on those. It was actually fun and I even learned a few things. At the end of the two hour session they gave us each $200 in cash.- Caller: Accurate Data Marketing

- BrandonThey just called me and asked some questions. They had no other spots open for my demographic study group, but I won't cry over it.
I don't know why some people here are getting worked up over them asking some questions. It's a legit research firm, none of the questions are identifiable (they already got my name and phone number, but I don't see how the card I use most or if I use the card's rewards program will identify me further), and they were offering $250 for a few hours of my time. Worse case is you don't get picked for their study group and they just used 10 minutes of your time.
It's legit. Answer their survey. If you don't get picked, get over it!- Caller: Accurate Data Marketing

- Scambuster replies to DylanYes. This company is a scam. They are phishing for your personal credit card information They called and pretended to be affiliated with PNC bank. They are not. The Caller ID was not for PNC. Others at he bottom of this page said they pretended to work for Chase Bank. Most of this page has been filled with fake comments by people working for the company in a sad attempt to bury the truth. Ignore the shills and check for the real truth on this page. They use real names, which anyone can get on the internet. BBB has attempted to gather information about this company, but they would not respond. If it seems too good to be true...it is. Do not fall for this garbage. Don't answer the call.

- billif this is such a good thing, why do they keep making harassing calls to us day after day?
stop robo-calling me - just had a call replies to just meThe company promised me $200 dollars for a market research focus group. The the person asked me a lot of personal questions about my credit cards and airline mileage. Only after the 10 minutes of questions did she say she'd have to check quotas on the two time slots she told me about at the start of the call. She came back on the phone and said she was sorry the quotas were full, but they would call me again. I bet they would! They got 10 minutes of my time on a phone survey that I wouldn't have responded to without the carrot of $200. I asked her why she didn't check the quotas before she asked me the questions.
They are a legitimate company. They also get free data by promising good money. I wonder how many real people get the money for all of the data they collect. These companies also pay people to write testimonials on these websites just as companies pay people for positive reviews on Yelp. I am sorry that I divulged personal information. I suppose I got suckered in by the $200. - don't take this call replies to Deborahtheir staff writes the comments about getting paid. they don't pay. they collect your information then tell you that you don't qualify.
- scam - do not talk to themthey are collecting your credit card info. they do not pay. don't believe the comments here that were written by their employees about actually paying. they do not.

- Company EmployeeI am an employee of this company and would like to take a minute to answer some of your concerns. I understand you might not believe everything I say here; it is the internet after all. However I am a consumer just like yourself and I receive the same types of robo and scam calls you do, and I admit they are annoying. This is why I'm taking a minute to clarify what it is that we do and how you can opt-out from receiving these calls.
First - our company contacts consumers all over the country to participate in different kinds of market research studies, from focus groups to phone interviews, where you are compensated for your time and opinion. One thing to note here, you will not receive compensation for simply answer some questions over the phone, this is done to qualify you for the study. You will be compensated after you participate in the study at a scheduled date and time.
Second - our employees have never posted to this site, these are actual consumers who have participated in these studies. Consumers really do receive cash or a check for their time and opinions, this is nothing new, it's been going on for years. If you do a quick Google search for "how to participate in focus groups" you'll find plenty of information regarding this.
Third - we do not record any of our phone calls, nor do we use any pass along any of your information to bill collectors. Your information is only used for the specific study you are participating in. If you do not qualify your information is destroyed. Also, we do not use any robo dialers or make phone calls from a computer. All of our phone interviews use a typical office phone to make all of their calls.
Fourth - If at any time you wish to not receive a phone call from us, simply contact us at (800) 390-7780 or via our contact page at "http://www.accurdata.com/contact-us", we'll happily add you to our internal Do Not Call list. Please understand that it will take a few days to remove your phone number. For those who are currently registered to the National Do Not Call list, please understand that market research (or surveys) is exempt from this registry. Please feel free to browse the links below to view our listings in industry publications. You can also find companies similar to ours near you if you are interested in participating in these types of studies.
