This is a legitimate call from the laboratory that makes Cologuard, the colon cancer test kit.   If you have recently had a physical and are to be sent a colon cancer screening test (the new one that works with DNA) - you will receive this call.    The message will be short and say they are from a lab, which I didn't catch because it was the first thing said, I did catch that it was a lab though.   When I had my physical, I requested this particular  cancer screening test, because of the commercial on tv.    Doctors don't keep them in the office, and said the company would be in contact with me.   The recorded call is short and identifies itself as a lab, which I at first thought it would be a survey about the blood test lab I went to, so I answered it.   It turns out it was just a short recording from the lab that sends out cologuard test kits, and leaves a number to call back.  When you call it back, the recording asks if it's you and if you were aware that a test had been requested for you.   On answering yes, it asks if you want to hear instructions about the test.   I was a little worried it might be something I'd forget, but said yes and took notes, and it was important info like don't tear up the box it comes in, it's the same one to send back, and other important things like that.

Thanks so much for posting this.  I had ordered this test but did not realize they would call me.  Now I have entered "Cologuard" into my caller ID instead of Franklin Park, IL, so if they call again I won't ignore the call.

It is the lab that distributes the Cologaurd tests for colon cancer.  Doctor ordered mine last week after a physical exam, told me they would contact me.  Too bad they don't use an ID with their phone number. I didn't know who they were, had to call back to find out.

As stated by others, this is Cologuard. They are a real company. If you ordered their product to do a DNA colon cancer test they call to verify that you received the kit and offer instructions. If your DNA comes out negative going for a colonoscopy is up to you. If it comes out positive you are in jeopardy and should see a doctor. They have a couple of numbers; I'm guessing this one is their outgoing device instruction robot.

Well you certainly don't sound very convincing there marty baby.  After all, you looked up the number anyway even though you claim you knew who it was that called.  Who would do that?

My post consisted of precisely three words and a comma, essentially not more than a mere phrase, and you claim to be able to parse endless extendable meaning out of that, being: I'm unconvincing, I knew the answer in advance of my query, assumed the reason I posted on the forum, how I reached my conclusions and my entire line line of thinking, insulted my intelligence, and called me a baby. Yep, it's for the Cologard test.  With so many spam emails, it would be great if they could put an ID on their calls.  But not a problem--this website helped!

Confirmed.  Legitimate caller.  For Colon Cancer Screening kit.  This is the method that is used instead of a colonoscopy.
