I got the same phone call and found it very disconcerting because the caller had my name and correct med insurance company, and I said "yes" to their alleged service--meaning that there is now a recording of my voice saying "yes." I don't know what they will do with the information. I will call my real insurance company (Empire) to find out if this was legit but I"m sure it wasn't. Hope no one else falls for this.

Well, considering that everyone wants to believe Chicken Little's "The Sky Is Falling" without actually checking to see it is, this rumor, and yes it is nothing more then that, will go on forever.  Try to find one single report from a reliable, verifiable source that someone was scammed with that single word and you will find.....wait for it......ZERO (0) reports.  Not one single person has been scammed saying that word, not one in two years.

Yes, this is BCBS, calling to peddle their latest attempt to make more money, by visiting a doctor online or via telephone.  As asked the idiot on the phone: how can a doctor on the telephone look in my ear and diagnose an ear infection?  How can a doctor online look into my child's throat verify there is inflammation, feel swollen tonsils and lymph nodes, and then do a throat culture to determine if there is a strep?  The phone rep was speechless, and I said "this is a stupid attempt to devalue healthcare, and please don't call me again."  Sadly, they keep calling.  *sigh*
