I decided to search the email in google and this post came up. I'm not going to respond at all. Thank you so much for listing this info!

Miljohn4040@gmail.com tried to scam me on craigslist said he was sending 4200 dollars which he wanted me to send his shipper 1000 via Walmart money transfer then PayPal would put my money in my account. That dam fool PayPal don't do that.when I caught him in the scam he threatened to send someone to kill me his shippers address was teldrin foster 2756 vining ridge terrace Decatur ga 30034. Some people must be sending them money or they'd stop.  I've received a couple check via USPS and asked the Postal Inspector if they might be interested since using the USPS makes it a Federal Crime.  I just try to waste their time the best I can.

Hey, thanks so much for these lists! I sell a lot on Craigslist. The initial text from a scammer always begins with, "Is the _____ still for sale?" The problem is that legitimate buyers also use that line! I always try to remain polite until I get the follow-up text about shippers and paypal and mailing checks. That is where the fun begins...for me. Not for them so much.

I recently convinced one of these scammers to send a check to Ken Paxton, who is the Attorney General for the State of Texas. Of course, the check was bad, but I will let Ken Paxton sort that one out. Passing bad checks is jail time!

Anyway, I can seriously use this list so that I can tell who is a scammer and who is a potential customer. Thanks again!

One of the emails on your list just tried to scam me.  It was --- Vivian Summer (josewrh@gmail.com), who just replied (17 Jan 2016) to my Craigslist ad.    He/She wanted my personal info so they could send Cashier Check and then they would arrange for pickup/shipping of the item.  Thanks for posting this info otherwise I might have followed up on the reply.
