Received a call from this number. The guy said he is from the FTC and I have several issues with my name and SS#..  SCAMMER SCAMMER SCAMMER...  Moron!!!!

I am in the process of getting a new job.  Is this going to affect my back ground check in any way?

No it won't. This is a extortion Scam Operation, report them.  The FTC has a article on their pages about this. The FTC does not do this. They oversee business's, not individuals and they do not collect tax's either which is the Job of the IRS and your States IRS and county's.

I have received calls on my cell phone and messages left on my work phone number Stating that I have complaints against my social security number. The message also states that my bank account and driver's license are under review. This was a message from Officer Peter Black extension 954. he had an Indian accent.

I received a call from Officer David Watson who by the way is also of Indian descent. I asked him for his badge# since he is an officer he gave me #86836.  I told him I knew this was a scam and I was recording his call and that I had filed a complaint with the State Atty. Generals office and the Dept. of Justice, and the real FTC.  I also told him to quit calling and harrassing me since he is trying to contact the wrong person.

He claim to be a officer from Fed Trad Co. He called out my ss#, Address, phone #, Bank and tolled me that I was gonna be picked up by the police, when I asked to speak to his superviser he refused and called me a idiet several times. Something has got to be done about this now.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Received a call from Officer Jack Dawson saying I had three counts against my social security number.  Pretty sure as others have said this is fraud.  If I do nothing, can they do anything, or do i have to report it to protect myself?

They just called me too early in the morning and it was J. Dawson with the Indian accent. Just so you all know the federal trade commission don't do phone calls like this. I've called the federal trade commission to complain about calls like this but I've never received any from them. It's a bunch of B.S!

I received a phone call from officer Jake Dawson telling me I was in trouble and I had a court date pending for a loan that was for 985. That I was being sued by a company that he did not tell me the name or what is was for. He told him to call my wife because I was working so he told me he will not repeat the info to her. He was very rude.

I got the same call! Saying I had a complaint against my social security number and do not even think about ignoring this message or I would not like what happens! How did they get my full name and cell number? It's been terrifying me for weeks!

I also have got a call from this # saying I owe money for a payday loan. They dont have my cell # or correct address. So they called where I work. This is an indian man and also states that they are comming and arresting me.

Our office also got a call TWICE today from Andy Lawson with the Bureau of Crime Investigation who was looking for one of our employees.  Guess this is the same person as J. Dawson.

A man named officer Ben Davis with an Indian accent called me today at 10:33 and left a message on my phone. He stated that he was from the Federal  crime enforcement network. He stated that serious charges have made against my name and social security number, and if I do not or my criminal lawyer ( "who can bail me out from court today: ) does not return his call I will be arrested today. He angrily repeated this several times threatening to put me in jail. He also stated " don't try to disregard this message because if I find out the situation falls on you."        This idiot needs to review how the judicial system works. As I am a retired LEO I plan to make things interesting for him.
