I missed a call from this computer message stating that I need to have my lawyer contact them about a restraining order. I don't have anything going on that would require this. A case # was referenced but my husband says this is a scan. Won't be returning the call as no company name was left.

Said there was legal action against me....automated call. Hung up about 10 second into it.

Call was from a Glen Brown for mediation department legal division. He stated that I have 3 legal charges being filed against me & 1 restraining order. He said I need to call back to verify a good address so I do not fail to appear in court. This call scared me half to death. My brother called for me. A male answered the phone and told him it was for 3 credit accounts I had defaulted on. They told my brother if I didn't pay I would get "locked up", was his exact words. Really? How ghetto are we? And what happened to the privacy act? He was giving my brother all the information I needed not to call them back myself.

I just got the same call and same message! this should be against the law to do this

They called and said there was a warrant for me and a restraining order against me.
No name no company

This is a complete scam! Do not fall victim to it. My message said the same that I have a restraint order and must appear in court. Restraint orders are not served over the phone its done in person by a process server or clerk of the court. Bottom line fake, scam, and lie! I want to serve them with a restraint order...they called my parents house too!

Received a call from this number saying my mom had legal action against her and a restraining order. I knew it was incorrect so I called back and asked to speak with a representative. A male picked up and said legal dept. I told h he had the wrong number and to please take me off your call list. The line went quiet I heard some typing and then they hung up. These scammers should be sued, this is a terrible thing to do to people.

They cannot be sued if people do not report the infractions ... or if they cannot be located.

I received the same call telling me the court is taking legal action against me to call back with the case number they left in the message. First call was automated second call was a guy, he also wished me luck in court!

There is a scam going on to get ur personal information and debit/credit card info. They want u to pay a "debt"u have, to call them back with the case number.  They want u to provide debit/credit card so u wont go to jail. They are also going personally to ppl's jobs or homes with a warrant for ur arrest. Do not answer any calls  u get from this number (855) 201-3478 or any 855 area code. Do not open the door for anyone saying they have a warrant. U know u don't have a case pending! They have been calling me and leaving messages. FBI is investigating. Pass this on!

Very often the extortion scams coming from in foreign country's have no clue how our laws really work. They would be hard pressed to get any kind of "restraining order" over a law suit that is a civil matter and not criminal.  Its pretty laughable at the same time as being annoying.  
Half the battle with these calls is knowing your rights according the FDCPA laws! Knowledge is power!

Jane, while a warning is all well and good, most of the calls are coming from foreign country's on these extortion scam calls. While extortion scammers located in the US would not want to be seen or locatable. You can not be arrested for a debt! It is a civil matter, not criminal!   Yes, there has been a few instances where the scams went so far as to show up like this, but the paper work, the people and getting arrested would be all a elaborate scam operation. I do know they nailed one in Albany Oregon not too overly long back, a year or so pulling this.

If someone calls you like this, report it! If any one shows up at the door, call the real police!

said my quickbooks security was not working properly and wanted to take controll of my computer

My boyfriend received a call from this number stating his att account was being used in Norway and was potentially hacked, they asked if he was in town or at home, that's when I said its a hoax. he hung up and I called  it back to see how they answered , which was" tech support". I hung up . Five minutes later I received a call ( same number) stating they could save me money on my RX, I said which one is that , they said Cialis . Obviously they don't know that is for erectile dysfunction. I hung up. The bizarre thing is my phone has been acting weird every since, cant receive text and cant take pictures :(

855-201-3469 called. I let the answering machine answer the call, they hung up.
