A guy named ray silva called stating there was a complaint going to be filed against me in us district court if i didnt call him to stop it. He even named my hr manager  and business by name. Dont know what they want sounds fishy to me

If there is litigation against you, then you are properly served by court approved servers or by certified, return receipt mail.  No one calls you ahead of time unless they are trying to scare you into paying them extortion money.

Criminals masquerading as debt collectors attempt to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged (they use the bad check or hot check claim a lot) and go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished without actually being sued or going to court, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.  They will use the words “Mediator”, “Arbitrator”, or “Law Office” to make you believe that they are something other than a debt collector want-a-be and that they don’t have to follow Federal and State collection laws.  They do have to follow those laws, but they won’t.  They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number where they will ask for money to “make it go away” (this is actually the same place, they work in teams, one pretending to be the server, and the other usually pretends to be a lawyer).  Process servers do not ever call ahead so that you can dodge them.  Process servers get paid to serve papers, nothing else.

My suspicion is that "US Legal Group" is just another  zombie manifestation of this "Mulholland Group".

Best to ignore and block all calls from this group and  its phantom or subsidiaries.

I had the office of US Legal Group call me. They also called all my minor children telling them they needed to get a hold of me due to a legal suit. Oh course to them that meant, mommy is going to Jail. They also called my step children. I have legal problems right now, so this office has really crossed the line. I don't need my husband's ex knowing my business. Is this even legal?

I called and spoke to Ray Silva, director. He did not verify any information to make sure he was talking to the right person. I asked why he was calling all my minor children harassing them and scaring them. He read out a list of all the names he had that they were calling to get a hold of me and their ages. They were all immediate family members. So I asked, so you have been harassing them as well before getting a hold of me? He said he sent something through the mail. I did not get anything.

Then I asked him to stop harassing my family, especially my minor children. He was raising his voice and getting very irritate with me telling me he was going to hang up on me. I asked for his address, he hung up on me. I called back 4 more times and he would answer and say." I am not talking to you, I am just filing a lawsuit against you". They called my husband's phone, so I called them back from his phone. The receptionist that answered the phone, I simply asked " Hi, I need the address please to send a payment" She replied to hold on because she did not know it by heart. She gave me the following address:

Yep. I have received the same call. Called the number and there was no business. only a voicemail. very odd.

same with me. told them i needed it in writing and to send it to my email address but would not do. calling my family and friends.

they have called my ex, his wife, my child's grandparents, and my work. tell me what to do please?

Keep getting calls from this number about a lawsuit against my brother. Called them back to have them stop calling me and my family and the guy immediately got upset when I tried to say it was a scam and I was tired of hearing from this number and to take me and all the people on the list off of their call list. Got upset said it's not a scam and they had a really good reason to talk to him and they could take my number off but not the others. Asked him to give me proof that they are not a scam because I looked up the number and found hundreds of stories saying they were a scam and all he said was " yes I can definitely do that. I'll take you off the list." and just hung up.

Man  by the name of Ray Silva keeps calling my work and eventually got to me and will not stop calling.  Please tell me what to do before I get fired for all the personal phone calls.  I know this is a scam because of what has been written on this site.

I have also been getting there calls as well as my mother who doesn't even live in the same state!!!  I refuse to answer and they don't leave voicemails.  I called and told them I was not interested in participating in their scam and they had the wrong one, I check my credit report, know how to look up my personal information in the courts and KNOW they aren't and can't bring up litigation against me without following major rules and regulations ESPECIALLY from another state!!!!   These people need to get a life!!!  I can only imagine how many poor people and elderly people are falling for this [***] (excuse my language).  Wish there was something we could do to bring some charges against them!!!!

You need to call the consumer protection financial bureau. they will help you. finally, stopped calling me at work. You need to insist that they only contact you in writing. Tell them that you need a validation notice to see if this debt is legitimate. Also, tell them that you contacted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. They are not allowed to call family members, threaten a lawsuit, or threaten an arrest, and are not allowed to call you at work repeatedly. All of these actions described are illegal and violate the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The sooner you call the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau the better off you will be. They were harassing me at work, threatening me, and calling family. Harrassment, threats, and calling family about your business is illegal.

They are violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. They are not allowed to harass, threaten, or cal family members. Go to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's website. Call their number immediately. I have already complained. Safety in numbers. They will help you.

Yep,  Feb 21 2017,  received voice mail, need to call them to get a statement to "resolve the matter."  Scam.

Got a call from them 4 times in a row. They also called my children looking for me. I called back to see what they wanted spoke to a Ray Silva who said I owed a debt from 07. He also knew where I banked at now. He wanted me to pay or set up payments or he would Take me to court. Isn't their a Statue of limitations for debt he said I over drawn my checking account in 07 and they were wanting their money. He kept saying pay or go to court I said go to court serve me papers and he hung up.

Got several calls at my job... 5 calls in a period of 30 minutes, told them to quit calling me at my job but they just kept on calling back.  I am now in the process of filing a complaint.  They said I was defrauding the government and they needed to talk to the HR director and tell him what I had done and I was going to jail if I didn't pay because I work for the government.  This company goes to far
