Called my number but left a msg for my dad (two states away and different last name) claiming it was regarding several complaints filed against him just this morning.  Wanted to verify his address and said he had the right to contact the plaintiff.  Said the next step is to file with the district court.  Left a phone number 855-208-3463 and a case number.  Then said he had been officially notified (NOT, you have to be served or have first class mail return receipt to be officially notified).  Left his name (mark Wallace) but did not leave a company name...red flag.  Have no idea how they got my number connected with my dad's name but this screams SCAM!

just had the same call saying the same thing but his name was jhon Crawford

Had this number call me today and state their was a complaint against me from 2010 from a financial institution that gave me money and that if I didn't pay the settlement I would be charged with a felony and grand theft. When I told the person that I had no ideal of the company he was speaking of and that I could provide proof via bank statements the line went blank.

This number called my phone stating that a formal complaint which was received which will result in the process being completed this will take place at my address or place of employee contact the number immediately to avoid any further legal action to be taken against me

My mother (who lives half way across the country from me) received a call from this number saying that I was to be subpoenaed for a debt in my past. When she asked what jurisdiction this would come out of, they hung up. Scam.

I just got the same exact message from a grace Harper

My husband got a call on HIS cell phone with a message for ME last week (using my maiden name - we have been married almost 3 years now) saying they have a former complaint filed against me and that I needed to handle or it would be handled at my home or place of business etc. I call the number when he gets home - I get a recording about client services, so I hang up. Then today I get a call from same number, I try to answer and it is a recording saying same thing and tells me to call back. So I did to see what was going on. The first lady answers "thank you for calling client services", I said "Yeah I just missed a call"  - she hangs up on me quick. So I was curious, I call it again and now the lady on the recording answers. She automatically knows it's me some how by me saying the same thing "I missed a call". Then asks is it is this name or that (maiden or married name) I said well what does that matter, what is this about. Tries to go on and on about a pay day loan I took out and never paid and closed my account. Telling me they have tried to contact me through three companies, trying to say this is the IP address that requested the funds online, I said what IP address, she changes the subject. She tells me can't give me info. of company, can't resend anything, gives me my address now, but it was apparently filed like 4 years ago with an e mail address I haven't used in 12 years - then this is where she got me - says "I would like to verify your SSN - I said fine go ahead, she gives me the first 5 digits, then goes to my birthday, I said hold on, where are the last four digits, she says they only verify beginning. Telling me I owe this amount and that they have all tried to contact me - yet I didn't live at this address until this past Sept. Then keeps telling me, well you can settle with me or if this isn't you (when I kept yelling at her that I have not taken any payday loans) then don't worry about it. What collection company is going to tell you don't worry about it. HAHAHA WHAT A JOKE! Mind you I just ran my credit report and has NOTHING in collections. This is beyond annoying though, that there are really idiots out there wasting their time and bothering me with this.

My mother is calling the attorney general to let them know about these people because this is highly illegal what they're doing. Hopefully that puts a stop to it.

Got this call around 12:30 pm. Caller IDed herself as Grace Harper. She was calling for Vanessa Hernandez on Ricker to meet there or her place of business concerning some kind of problem, and that she should call right away. I'm not the one they want. They got the wrong number.  There was no business ID given. Seeing that others have gotten this kind of call smells like a SCAM to me. Sounded like a debt collector.
