I'm not sure how but these people got my father in law's cell phone number, which he doesn't give to ANYONE. And they asked for me. He told them he'd give them the message but they got very rude with him. I think her name was "Ann Parks." I'm not entirely sure what it was all about, but I think it was a scam, and they need to be stopped.

Got a call from this number, all it said was Toll-free caller.  I don't owe any debts, so either they are going after someone I know, or they have the wrong info.  Regardless, they can call till the cows come home, and I don't have cows.  I will not be picking up after what you all have written about their rudeness.

They keep calling me every few months and asking for someone that is not at my location.  I tell them this is not the person that you are looking for and they say thank you and ask me if I know that person and I say no, which I don't and they hang up.

They got my cell and home phone number calling for relative not here. Multiple times... After reading these posts, I'm getting excited for when they call again. I Love messing with these folks, I'll waste so much of their time without giving them a lick of information, they won't want to call me again. getting calls fom a debt collector and asked to hold , they did this on three seperate occasions . when they did reach me their questions where way out of lne and far from polite . when I instructed them to please not call again their respose was we will call as long as this debt is due ( again I owe no money to no one ) .  their last  quote  ( well since you won't help us then we will go after others ) . they did not and would not identify themselves or their company by  name tele # 855 211 4583

Debt Collector - they called my work back on February 9th and I sent them a cease and desist order to never call my work again, they called again today!!! They buy debt for pennies on the dollar and try to collect. This is an old debt and it belongs to my ex - husband who is now legally disabled and has no income, not sure how they expect to collect nothing from nothing. I explained that to them. I will send one more cease and desist for today's phone call, they do it again and i think there are laws against them calling your place of employment once you advise them not to call. Especially since I did not provide them with that information.

Called tonight. Left a message saying they were from Conde Nast travel services and needed me to pick up the phone immediately. They called me by name. I did not pick up. I do not answer calls from "toll free" or "unknown." I have a land line for outgoing emergency calls only.

Received a phone call asking for someone named Guadalupe. Never met anyone with that name in my life. This is not the first call I've had of this type so I am wondering if they have the wrong number on file.

already spoke to them and said the debt was valid but until i had proof of the debt i was not going to pay the debt,,they wanted me to do an ach withdrawal on our bank account ,i said no way . i said it would be a money order or cashiers check

This is Northstar Collection Services. They were contacting me regarding a debt with Barclaycard. Extremely rude. Ignored my request for a statement of debt multiple times. Spoke with "V," I believe. He spent the majority of the call talking down to me and explaining how debt collection works and offered multiple times that I could try to call Barclaycard directly, but that they'd never receive the call because my phone was auto-forwarded to their office. I wasted a good portion of his time being polite but firm and talking a lot, so that at least amused me.

They stated that I would receive no calls after this date, so we'll see. If they continue contacting me, I'm really going to start wasting their time. I'll just start at chapter one of the first Harry Potter book and keep reading. :)

I keep getting calls from an unknown number that shows up on caller I'd. Found out it was this number. Guy leaves a message asking for me about a personal matter but won't say anything else and that I need to immediately call him back at some 1-866 # and some extension. I'm not calling because they just want money I don't have.

Man calls asking about a student loan.  When asked "a what?"   He hung-up.    Add this caller to your blocked list.

Called me in the middle of the day on a Thursday asking for my mother, and saying I was an emergency contact, with whom I don't even live with. I explained that and then proceeded to ask who this was and why they needed to talk to her (I was first concerned it was an emergency or something). All the girl "Teuh Jones" said was her name and that my mom had "personal business to discuss in her office". At that point I was like okay that's very shady. I told them i'd tell her they called and hung up after they repeatedly asked for her number.
My question is; how the hell did they have my phone number and know my moms name? And now I'm here after googling the number. The world is scary, don't give these people any more info than they already have!!

I received a call from this number.  The message said, "We are trying to locate Elizabeth Wood to service important papers".  When I called it back, there was a generic message to leave a message but not company name.  It's very suspicious.

Scum collectors.

The questions they want you to answer require you to say YES! Then they use sound equipment to record it. Then they edit it. adding what they want you to do is give them authorization to access or charge your credit card money, sometimes once, sometimes more. Check it out on your computer, scams wanting a Yes answer to questions!

I called the ftc on them and they still call every two days they are scammers and want your information they also have family members phone numbers they need to be stopped now.
