How do you know these people owe money?  Do you have proof?

Your statement is completely false: Paying your bills will *not* stop calls from criminals who try to use fear and intimidation to extract money from innocent strangers.

    Thanks for playing.

Please give the FBI a call (fall???) about this and let us know the results.  They need a good laugh.  Then learn English.

You have to be kidding! replies to @harrassed person
You have to be kidding me.  Collection scams are abundant and rampant these days.  "Scavengers" and "bottom feeders" with time on their hands are using the internet to scare people into defrauding money from them. I consider them to be no better than a "thug" on a street corner. Get a life and a real job. If you were a valid (licensed) bill collector, you would not resort to posting on public forums.

Please prove to me that collection agencies information is always up to date. Guess what? You cannot prove this. Wanna know why? Because I have been issued phone numbers and ended up with calls for people I have never heard of. This proves that the debt collector is calling an outdated number.
    So much for your theory.

Just so you know, I pay my bills.

    You said:
    >>>stop being a scum bag and pay your bills and maybe you wouldnt have a problem.. <<<
A: I pay my bills and don't have any debts. Stop being a professional deadbeat extortion scammer and pay your debt to society.. preferably in the nearest prison.

    >>>and have to warn your family and make them lie for you..  <<<
A: Of course everyone runs to the nearest relative and of course breaks arms and legs to accomplish making everyone lie. Thats more or less what loan sharks do, charge a arm and leg.   Must be a lot of hospital bills out there since according you scummers err.. scammers, everyone owes you a living.  Now I do think that once person A's relative arms and legs are broken, it might complicate things for them in turn to go to their relatives and repeat the process..  A whole lot of faulty thinking there shilly!

    >>>collecting debt is not a scam.<<<
    A. Really?  You must be joking! Seriously, a few real legal collectors even break the laws, and make the rest look bad as a result. Peoples should pay their debts, no one argues with that.. real ones that is and not some trumped up made up bill that is nothing but a extortion scam by  professional deadbeat scummers.. errr, scammers that are too lazy to work a real job.

    >>>YOU not paying your debt is a SCAM!<<<
    A. You owe me, and everyone else here, for reading this male cow bowel matter that you can't prove. Now pay up! Make the check payable to the FTC, FBI and IRS and spend 10 years in federal prison. Turn yourself in and become a honest person. When you get out, go get a real job, even dish washing is a real job.

    >>>Stop stealing from the united states government.. <<<
    A. Say what? Are you the IRS? Are you the Fed Government?  I don't think so. We pay our tax's as well as our bills. Speaking of thieves, do you pay your tax's from all the extorted money?  I'd bet not..   but thats typical of professional deadbeats that think the workers of the world need to support their worthless professional deadbeat scum errr.. scam behinds.  Go to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200 here either!

    >>>you deserve to be in the SCUM SYSTEM SYSTEM.<<<
    A. Yes you do belong in the system, couldn't agree more on that. Its where all the professional deadbeat extortion scummers er scammers belong.

    >>>im falling the FBI!<<<
    A. Is this anything like falling a tree and do you holler: Look out below, falling FBI!  ?  If you meant calling, then I agree with MidNyte, they can use a good laugh!  Otherwise, we might have to call them to warn them of some raging lunatic with a chainsaw that wants falling FBI..

    >>>good luck to you!<<<
    A. And may you also break down in the middle of the freeway during rush hour!

Stop making us laugh at your sorry excuse to shill. Obviously you have time on your hands to preach the moral hazards of being responsible for our debts. BTW if the FBI was really on the case of debt collecting would you not be already in jail for trying to scam people for their money already?

} you deserve to be in the SCUM SYSTEM SYSTEM

Is that a system found in "Uzbeki-beki-beki-beki-stan-stan"?

Another thug hides from his legal responsibility behind a phone line, and throws an ignorant fit when his employer's scripted lies are exposed. If you would only direct the same ire to what you see in a mirror each day. You all have such a selective definition of "scam". Much as you would believe otherwise, owing money on consumer debt is not a crime. Making illegal threats to collect it should be.

Only in your wet dreams would the FBI or any other part of the "United States Government" help you in your scheme of theft by deception. In fact, I can think of a few government agencies which might like to put your little fraud shop on ice.

I have records of hostile debt collectors in three states each using the acronym "CRG". If you're so sure what you're doing is right, you won't mind spelling out that full name for us.

} They asked me to fax the proof and they would close the account

You gave the correct answer. It's the agency's job to prove you owe. It's not your job to prove you don't. If they want your proof, they can see it attached as an exhibit to your motion to dismiss in that lawsuit they have no plans to file.

    Employed. Are you?

My husband got a call from his sister on 3/31/2014 & she stated a debt collector called her phone # asking for him. When his sister said she can pass along a message they told her that he has 2 hrs to call back in response to a debt he owns and after that they will no longer be able to negotiate the payoff amount & gave her a "case #". My husband called them back. Katie Simms at 855-213-3647 first told my husband they tried to serve him with legal documents but have been unable to find him. (we have lived in the same house for 8yrs & Im home all day) When he told her no one has ever attempted to serve him with anything she put him on hold & came back saying she was mistaken. She then told him what company & amount he owes and said they will settle for 1/2 the amount if paid by 4/25/2014 but if we dont the amount quadruples! He agreed to pay by that date. She then insisted he put a credit card "on file" (he gave her a walmart prepaid credit card with $1 on it) & told her to send all the info in the mail. 3 days later we got a 1 page letter with the heading CERTIFIED RECOVERY GROUP- 3410 La Sierra Ave F289 Riverside CA 92503 Ph- 855-213-3647
If you Google this there is a Business at that address with the name Certified Recovery SERVICES with a different ph#!! CRG is a scam & its a slick one!! DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY!
    • Caller: Certifed Recovery Group
    • Call type: Debt collector

Thanks for that info! Yeah, the slick scammers. There's CRS http://www.bbb.org/greenville/Business-Review ... lle-sc-15000536 that looks shady. You're right that, under that address are search results but nothing else to confirm a real company. This CRG may be more a FB, linkedin, online group of scammers. Yeah, the possibility of  scamming professionals within the professional scammers networks.

The FTC doesn't want you to pay first and receive documentation later, but I suppose your little sting was the only way you would ever get a clear business name from these creeps. Hopefully what you have will lead to an address you can serve with a summons. In just your summary of events I'm reading a half dozen FDCPA violations.

I wouldn't worry too much about "group" versus "services". It's common for Corona-style thug agencies to use multiple aliases and for their owners to diffuse their lawbreaking among many business names.
