Got a BLUE SCREEN ON MY COMPUTER . A VIRUS???? I figured how to correct this.. message said to call 1-855-213-5586 MICROSOFT HELP.??? Is this a legitimate site? Spoke to Jennifer Samuel in India?  Cost would be by Charge Card? $$$$ I hung up  ....

It is NOT Microsoft - just a low life Indian scammer.

Do not answer or call back number. Uth claims to be legit puts virus in your computer then wants to charge your credit card  to fix it  510-298-3228 is another number

yes, me too! they still call to see how the computer is working. it is a scam! I have this in dispute, they claim they are microsoft!

un-able to use computer, asked to call above number, said they can clean at cost of $99.99.  Charged to my card, then call to stop payment.  They call back and ask if everything is ok Sid NO!

Internet security 101:

Never give your CC or financial account numbers to anyone over the phone, or e-mail, or otherwise.

Never give anyone you do not personally know, access to your computer.

This is a common tech scam originating in India and Pakistan.  Hindi accent should be a dead giveaway.

Got the screen, called and noticed before they answered it wasn't actually Microsoft. I hung up immediately before talking to someone and they called repeatedly. Whicheck confirmed my thoughts. On fourth call, I answered and said my computer is all good now and I no longer need help (to eliminate the need to speak anymore).

Now I got a 5th call! Just 30 mins later.

Here's my question. Does my computer still/ever have a virus? Or is the scam in actually getting us to call?

Most like a virus never existed. Just a web popup trying to scam you. The scam is when you call them, they remote in and do some phony cleanup stuff. Always check with your local pc repair store(not big box stores, they're almost as bad as the scammers!).

I fell for it and paid $250.....how do I undo it?
