Said they sent me files from ACR to be sign and they haven't received them after two weeks.   I have to respond in 24 hours or I'll be assumed non cooperative.

I assume it's a scam or a fake debit collection since I've never heard of ACR

    Debt collection extortion scam.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Received a voicemail from an "unknown caller", she's mispronouncing my first name and telling me there's a scheduled court appearance for me in my local county. Left this number and tells me to call it for further details.

Called and played phone tag with them for about 3 days. I asked for paperwork mailed to me and Nicole Woods said she would have it emailed to me. I have never received it.  She said it takes a while since they have such a large client list and people sending in money that needs to be processed.  Still waiting for something in writing about what and who I owe and if they are offering a payment arrangement.  Is this a scam?

Of course it is, something I have already pointed out in my previous post.  I have even provided links to federal and state agencies where you can learn how debt collection is supposed to work.

Why did you bother looking it up after paying? Your words do not hold water

Why would you look the number up after paying?  They sent you all the right paperwork?  What paperwork?  Your "paid in full" letter?  Did they send you the required "g" or dunning letter that the FDCPA requires by law?  Did it contain the following as required by law?

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Now, did you send them a debt validation letter?  Did they respond with the original paperwork from the original creditor?

If the sole reason you paid them was because it was on your credit record, I can guarantee you 100% you were scammed.  I can also guarantee that if you did not make them follow the law, you are now considered a very easy mark and you can expect a ton more collection calls trying to extort money from you.

Firefox is not letting me onto their website as it contains malware.  That really sounds like a "legit" organization to me.

You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

They are allegiant capital recovery located at 3280 south park avenue in lackawanna ny. They change their phone numbers as soon as its blasted online that their fraud. Their current number is 844-677-3962. They use completely illegal tactics and sometimes even move to avoid attorneys and lawsuits. The office is run by Daniel bienko aka "John"...and all the reps use fake names. The more people that make complaints with the CFPB and attorney general the faster they are shut down. It's very important you file a complaint with the CFPB if you want to get them shut down. Just coming here and complaining does nothing. That is their CURRENT address which is NEVER given out to avoid lawsuits. They collect on payday loans and old debt from 2000-2005.

Since they have a registered agent and an address for that agent, they can be sued since they can be served.
