Screened a call from this number & the transcript stated:
"high deer I'm calling you from Indeed DirecTV to let you know that you're existing account is qualified for our 50% off in order to build the discounts kind of call us back at 855-219-7264 from ATM until 5pm Pacific Standard Time Thank you and have a great"
Clearly a scammer calling.

Just got the same voicemail. Extremely scammy.

I was sent a message about an account which was “eligible for a 50% off” and to call them back so that the discount could be applied, but what account it was for went unspecified. This sounds like a scam.

What's "extremely scary" about it? Or even mildly scary?

Sorry, I read that as "scary" not "scammy". 😸

I also received a very similar message-typical script say something about needing to verify my information before sending me to the customer service representative I asked for-but first asks for me to verify my account password and when I say no it then asked me for the last four of my social which I also refuse. I haven’t had DIRECTV service since the 90s for Christ sake and this doesn’t seem to be in any way whatsoever legit. When I refuse this “automated message request” of giving my last four of such and such it directs me to another 800 number which is in fact the real DIRECTV so I don’t know what the hell is up with this but I am reporting it to DIRECTV directly…no pun intended LOL.
