I got a call from this number unknown 5 times in less than 3 hrs. The guy he was calling because he said someone is trying to sue me for check fraud. When I asked who and told him I had no checking account or checks he got angry. He wanted me to verify my adress i wouldnt tell him. He called out 2 old addresses and said that if i didnt verify he would call 2 people he named (who i dont even know )to get my address.I said well call them I dont know them. Then he gave me this 855-227-3089 number and a file number. I called that number and the guy wanted my social i wouldnt give it to him then he asked for the last 4 i still refused and asked him to verify what he had as my social. He got mad and he hung up the phone.

SO FUNNY I JUST GOT THE SAME CALL 20 MINS AGO.... FROM A GUY NAMED BEN JONES TOLD ME TO CALL 855-227-3089 EXT 323 AND A FILE # HE TOLD ME IF I DID NOT CONTACT THEM THEY WILL ISSUE A WARRENT FOR MY ARREST. HE TOLD ME THIS WAS FOR USING A FRODULENT CHECK??? I HAVENT CALLED THEM YET B/C IT ALL JUST SOUNDED WEIRD

thats the same guy that called me! it seems like he's reading from a scipt, he called me the first time, left message then called me 10 mins later.  then he had the nerve to call my sister, so this is just a bill collector trying to get old debt that he wont get from me.  I'm filing bankruptcy so this will all disappear.  But you will not get arrested so don't get scard.

Just received a call from a woman saying that she and a sheriff were about to come out to my job and serve me with a court document for check fraud and that I was being sue for fraud. Her name was Alisha McCort, she then told me that I could clear this up by calling 855/227-3089 ext 338 so they would be able to settle this out of court. This really scares me. She said she was from the district attorneys office in California.

I got the same type of call... but from Tanya Rogers and is also threatening me to coming to my job and serving - I don't know what to do... should I call or shouldn't???? What to do?

MAR, it sounds like scammers to me!! dont let them get to you and give them no information!!  they are most likely just trying to scam you out of money. ask them for proof and tell them you are reporting them to the FBI and your local authorities.

Everyone, it looks like we all live in different states and these people are reading from the same script!  First of all if its a debt collector (which they are) the only thing they are allowed to do is mail you the information or yes go through the courts to get their monies back.  NO ONE goes to jail for not paying a bill, it just goes on your credit report.  What you can do to have them stop calling you is to call the 800 number and demand that they stop harressing you per the Credit Act.  they will have to cease the calling or be fine $1000 or more.  I usually tell them to F off, if I haven't paid then I probably won't.  I hope that guy calls me back so I can tell him that I work for the Sheriffs office and let me know what dept his in so I can walk over and pick up the papers myself :}

I received a call from this number and the person said his name was Xavier Mitchell, a process server. he was coming down to my place of employment to serve me papers and speak with my supervisor... they have called me many times before but a different person named Robert Greene; who was very nasty and called me the most horible name you can think of on my phone at work!! you conducts business like that. I intend on submitting a complaint with the Attorney General office today.I refuse to be harrassed like this..

I got the same call from a private number from Julie Waters says shes sending a processor to my job and my home to serve court papers. At first I panicked but then I look her so called file # up at the clerk of courts website NO RECORDS Found under that file number or my name for that matter! Besides that I don't have checks for my account there are so many lies in the call its really not funny at all! Didn't even mention the company name or anything.

I got the same call. I looked up my name on the clerk of courts website name is there but not for fraud charges.

i got the same call but when they explain it to me it was something that i owed and they help me clear it up did like the was they went about it but it was legit
mostly if they called you it is something you owe

These people called my job asking my schedule when do I work again. When told they werent going to give that type of info out,they told my job they were going to serve papers! Looked the number up on here and found out its a scam!!
