- asdfReceived a call from a Batrick Disalvo, it took him quite some time to furbish his "name" and he didn't know my Microsoft license - simply an e-mail account. Well Batrick... $#&* you.
- SuzanneWhen I got the call, I immediately asked if "Harry" was Indian. I couldn't understand his answer but he did insist he was from Microsoft. I told him he was a fraud and that Microsoft doesn't call. This scam has been around for a couple of years and it's Indians (eastern) that do this. I also told them they are a disgrace to their country. They want to get to your computer to take your personal info. Many U.S. companies have moved away from Indian tech support so they came up with a way to keep the dollars coming in. Then they steal your personal data. They have a charge to "fix" your computer. The last call came in to my cell phone. I will read up on the call block feature, In the past they have called the house phone. I found my home phone system had a call block feature with up to 250 numbers and it seems to be working s I put in numbers to block,, I actually didn't know my system had this feature until I read about it on one of these sites. Your system may also have it. it's worth checking.. BTW the Do Not Call list, besides being a joke, is only for telemarketing companies, not for other types of businesses, e.g .survey, The positive comments in this posting series are fake as well. Good that "Busted" shows up.

- LEEANNReceived a call from this same number (855 227 3193). Said hello several times and no answer. However, I can tell someone was still on the line and could hear background noise. SO, as long as they called and wanted some feed back.......I grabbed a sports whistle I have and as hard and loud as I could, I blew it. I am guessing that by now someone might be having a difficult time hearing or have a headache by now. Oh well, if you want to be stupid and call people and participate in a scam, then be prepared to suffer the consequences.
- LindaI just received a call also, and I did not believe them, the man had an accent and said I had a bunch of errors.
He said he was with Windows and to go to www.teamviewers.com
I told him NO, that I didn't believe him and hung up.- Caller: windows??

- NotNowSam| 1 reply5/16/15 logged in to a "group call" about getting stress free! My computer was slow and sound would stop and drag out words. "Video Converter" by Surf Island Solutions 3.0.56, popped on screen to speed up with viewing!!!! Well, maybe Sam screwed up (that's me). Immediately after the download a pop-up appeared on the screen saying that I should call 877 469-2757 computer support. I received a phone message from a foreign speaking man from 1 855-400-9289 stating he was from a 3rd party company that works for Microsoft. (Microsoft no longer supports Windows XP) He said his company was based in Pennsylvania "pc-technical-messages.com" appeared in the above bar. I told him I never give control of my computer to anyone. He said to type in "Voice" and then "run". He said to Type in "MSInfo32" and then "run".
Immediately I set a system restore point, deleted Video Converter, shut down system and restarted Windows. Now my MSN and Outlook are gone. I tried to go into Google and my screen froze!!!!
Eventually after a full scan this came up: "Gen:Adware.MSIL detected". Then another pop up from a "Greg Foster said to call 1 855-227-2975". Desktop is not fixed, YET. Task Mgr shows ASCAvSvc.exe system = 100,472K. and I certainly have way more stress!!!! Any suggestions???- Caller: pc-technical-messages.com
- Badge714 replies to NotNowSamIf you are running Windows XP here's a possible answer. A lot of these things are getting bad, & restoring your computer to an earlier date may not fix the problem. Get 'malwarebytes', and run it in safe boot. This program is free to use. DO NOT turn over your computer to anyone on the phone or any number that appears in a popup ad. This is a very well known scam & you probably do have a virus/trojan installed on your computer. I would like to make one suggestion & I hope you consider it. When you get your computer fixed take a look at 'Linux Lite', or 'Xubuntu Linux'. You can have your computer dual boot XP & a Linux OS. 'Xubuntu' even has a setting to make it run like Windows XP, Windows 7, or a MAC. Think about it as you'd be a lot safer on the internet than using XP.
