Got a voicemail  from a "process server" claiming that I will be served in 3 days at my home or work unless I called this number. I called and the "mediator" claimed I had an overdraft fee on a Bank of America account that was more than 10 years closed. They had the last 4 digits of my social and an old address. There are already a lot of posts on this site about this scam but I thought I would associate this number with it as well.

Same exact thing just happened to me. Claiming that I owe for an overdraft fee from 2006 with an institution that I am currently in good standing with. She claimed that a group of investors bought a bunch of old delinquent files and are attempting to collect. When I started asking questions to help me understand which account she was talking about and how it was possible for her to attempt to collect on an account from 13yrs ago; she started yelling at me and said "a judge isn't going to care about the statue of limitations" and she hung up...This is a scam and she sounded like she was working from home (a double-wide in a south Alabama trailer park).

My mother received a call and voicemail from this number claiming I needed to call or I they would come to my house or work to summons me to court. She was trying to collect a debt from years ago and I thought that was very odd. She had my birthdate the last 4 of my social and two old addresses. I haven't even been summoned to court over my thousands of dollars in student loans. Why would I be in legal trouble over a bank account?! Nice try, wrong guy!

Same thing just happen to me. They keep calling from different numbers as well. They are even calling family members in reference to my "debt" They wanted to confirm my birthdate and SS which I refused to so the conversation didn't get very far. They do have my personal info which worries me. Hope this helps.

I got an “unknown” voicemail saying I would be summoned in 3 days (Thursday 17) that if I wanted more information I would have to call the “filing party” 855-230-0258 with case number #1629493. I called and talked to a Jenna said she was Fromm ACA Mediation. She put me on hold for like 3 minutes or less said she talked to the bank and said they would settle for an amount xxx or two payments one due now and the next due in February. I told her I needed to talk to my husband to figure out what I should do. She said that’s fine, I have until the day I get summoned if not then I would have to pay the full amount plus the court fees. How can I verify if this is true? ‘Cause it’s stressing me out. I haven’t had an account with Wells Fargo since 2007.

I got a private call and decided to let it go to voicemail as I was driving. A minute later I get a call from my future mother in law, saying that she got the same call about being summoned in 3 days and to call the number with my case number. They also called my girlfriend with the same voicemail. I'm pretty sure like everyone has said here this is most likely a scam. What really bothers me is that the would contact family and make them worry. That should be illegal and I wish I could summon them to court for putting people through all of this unnecessary stress.

HI there.  I also received a call saying pretty much the same thing. What did you end up doing?

This is the fake process server scam. Real process servers don't call in advance and they don't give you the option to pay your way out of being served. Block and ignore such calls.

Received a call and winded up confirming my info.  Said I had a debt with TD Bank which I had an account which was closed 9 years ago.  Wouldn’t  give me too much info but said I will be getting served tomorrow.  I told them to bring it and have fun.  They called from 443-251-4296.  It is a landline.  Finally got the 1-855 phone number and tracked it to this site with everyone’s comments.  They said they were a mediation firm out of Maryland.
