I have received a call from this number saying they are calling on behalf of Comcast to offer me 2 years of Showtime for free. I called Comcast and they said it's a scam....

This is not a hoax. I called Comcast too and they confirmed the offer is legit. However they have accidentally called some customers who are not eligible.

This appears to be a comcast scam of sorts.

I got a call form this number, and Comcast stated they 'Farm out' their promotional deals to a third-party telemarketer.  I also asked whether the 24 month Showtime package was legitimate, and they siad it was a $10.00 promotion.  They gave me a number to call, and confirm this promotion:  877-424-2025.  I will be calling it now.

Makes sense - Just cancelled Comcast and turned in their equipment about 36 hours ago because oft heir lousy service and high prices.  Today I get a call from 855-230-4260 so it was probably their telemarketer trying to get us back.

I just cancelled Comcast two weeks ago.   Message mumbled that they valued me as a customer.  Not any longer.

Well, dumb is, as dumb does. Have never been Comcast and couldn't if wanted

i just dumped comcast too & saw this # on my caller id.  they didnt seem to value me before i cancelled- didnt offer me anything that even came close to fios, and in fact the one woman i spoke to was pretty condescending- stating "well, we'll see you when you come back to us".  i'd rather get rabbit ears than go back to them.

Apparently they are also calling people who are no longer customers. ..multiple times a day... no message . Very annoying

Got a call today. No message. I [***] hate comcast and just cancelled the tv and phone 3 days ago. What a bunch of pricks.

Comcast is notorious for nonstop telemarketing calls with anyone who is or has been a customer with them at some point. And they'll keep you on the phone for as long as possible trying to force themselves into your wallet with offer after offer. Accidentally picked it up one time figuring it was the doctor's office with MRI results - when they asked if it was me, I immediately knew it was comcast and said no, then they asked if I was entitled to take action on my (recently closed) Comcast account - also said no and they finally hung up. I now get calls from this number on a pretty much daily basis. Ignoring it every time - if they really want to get in touch with me for a legitimate reason, they'll leave a message or send mail.
