I received a call from what appeared to be the local sheriff department stating I had 24 hrs to call this number or turn myself in.  If I didn't i would be arrested.  So I called the sheriff and they knew nothing about a warrant and no one from there had called me.  I was told to call the 855 number and get more info.  Turns out it is a debt collection agency that lies about being an attorney office hired to collect your unpaid payday loans.  They apparently are using an app to disguise themselves like it is a call from your local law enforcement to scare you into calling them and making a settlement around 700 our more to them within 24 hrs of you don't want to go to jail.  They claim you have to pay by visa our MasterCard or by a prepaid card you purchase.  If you get this call you should definitely call your local law enforcement.  It is a scam to collect unpaid debts.  The loan they were taking about in my case want even mine. I was just a reference and the original loan was done 4years ago and had been paid by the person who actually took out the loan.

I kept receiving messages from this number, and they made the same threats of arrest. Thanks for the heads up!!!

No message left at 9:12am.  Number looks fake as hell.  Search finds no legitimate business using this toll free number.  Interestingly a few sites that came up were Russian.  I guess the friggin commies have a way around STIR/SHAKEN authentication.  [***].
