This is a collection agency that uses illegal methods to try and collect a debt that you either don't owe or that is really old that they bought for pennies on the dollar.  They call with a "case number" and tell you that unless you call them it will be turned over to the courts and the sheriff will arrest you.  It's just a scam - ignore them.  Whatever you do, don't talk to them.  They try to keep you on the phone for a specific amount of time and record your conversation to get you to admit to the debt.  Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to go after these companies because you can't find an address for them to report them.  You will also notice that the number the call comes from is different than the number they give you to call about the case.  That's because they constantly spoof phone numbers.

we received a call from this company about an old debt (6yrs ago). stated we had till 2 pm to pay the money or it would be filled in the county court and we would owe 3 times as much

Unwanted  and repeated calls

The first time I ever heard from these people is repeated phone calls to my job and to another person's phone.  They threatened with serving papers to my job.  They say I am being  noncompliant even though they have never called my phone or sent anything to my address about whatever this matter is.

Jennifer Jacobs called my cell phone looking to get $$ from an old debt(15yrs) of my parents. Not me, my parents! I told her about how the number comes up as a scam and she made numerous Excuses. She hung up on me when I told her I knew she was a scam. I called her back again and again. She gets mad when you tell them you will not pay anything!!! Quite funny to play with these ppl.
