I'm getting calls for my daughter on the same scam crap.  I should not have answered.  They are saying they are police, threatening me, calling 4 to 5 times in a row.  Now they are calling my daughter's mother-in-law.  They are impersonating a police officer and say coming to pick her up.  This is so harrassing and uncalled for.  Isn't there anything we can all do to stop threatening, harrassing calls (come up "Private number" or "Restriced number")?  Seems this should be against the law.  All calls come from 855-247-1942.  These people even knew my complete name and I had nothing to do with this period.

I just got this call too and w/a case #.  Did yours have that?  Saying something about being served papers.  They called and left 2 messages and then not much longer I got a text from my ex husband and we've been divorced 10 years and he doesn't even have the same phone # as then so how would they of gotten his??!!  I have not even listed him on any papers for a contact since way back then.

I just received a restricted call from a woman that says she was looking for me and I needed to return the call by August 14 or they would be serving me with some type of papers. The also left a case ID # they said they are from RPS.

Thats what she told me too....she had a case # and so when I did call her back the case # indeed is to a debt I've had from about a year ago but when she wouldn't accept what payment arrangements I'd be willing to make for in a couple of weeks, she kept insisting I needed to give her my card # today for the payment.  I said I can't today I have $2 in my acct but could do $20 in 2 weeks possibly but she kept saying no she will have someone come serve papers at my residence or job, after me telling her Im unemployed, she kept saying about my job they'd come to.  She kept on and on but wouldn't give me an address to mail a payment and said she could see I had a debit card related to this acct that started w/a 4 or 5 I asked her to read me the #s and she said I've got to go,there are other people willing to pay.  Soooo its a scam, they're trying to scare people into giving them the card #.  I guess somehow they still can get hands on peoples debt but then do this too. Sad deal w/people these days!!  I wanted to ask for her to give me my address and place of employment just to see what she would say but I didnt.

I just received the same call except it is not for me! It is for a friend. I have no idea how they got my number!

This number called my son and has got his personal bank info we are looking at finding a way to press charges on the ones behind this scam.....
